Premier Inn Tamworth South

Disappointed, The room was of low standards, Tiny TV hard to see or hear, Standards seem to have dropped compared to our other stays there, Restaurant was totally empty apart from me and my brother even though it was on a Friday, Poor food as only had a limited menu, Felt sorry for the girl running the restaurant as she did her best to make us feel welcome, Didn't bother with breakfast the next day as we were the only two people in the restaurant again, Will be staying somewhere else at next visit to Tamworth.

One of my preferred Premier Inns. The hotel is obviously well looked after by a good team. Particular thanks to Sam working in reception this evening, who went out of her way to accommodate my awkward requests. One of those naturally conscientious people who are increasingly rare to find. She is a credit to Premier Inn and to this hotel in particular.

Lovely clean room with a lovely hot shower. Sadly though I had a very rude receptionist regarding early check-in. I had booked and paid extra for it but she was denying it was possible. Kept on saying it was subject to availability and only available on the day. I said I had paid £10 and she then smirked then that I can't of booked it as it was £15. Showed her the email booking that I had paid £10. She stomped off to check to see if the room was ready. She returned, issued my room key, barely said 2 words and I received no apology.

We stayed here for 3 nights. The first night was absolutely terrible. We went to bed and there was the most horrendous noise!! It equated to trying to sleep next to a 747 engine during take-off. I thought maybe a fan had been left on next to my window. At midnight, i went off to find the night porter (who was great) who assured me that he would investigate. However, the noise didn't stop, resulting in absolutely no sleep. The next morning, we went for our pre paid breakfast only to be told under no uncertain terms that we weren't on his list, so we absolutely hadn't paid. After he argued with us for several minutes, i decided to go back to the room for my email confirmation. He then decided to seat us whilst he checked.. He eventually came and informed us that yes, we had paid, and the same thing would probably happen the next morning. He gave us absolutely no apology for his rudeness. Now, I was very tired and hungry. i was so upset i just wanted to leave.. Fortunately, the noise subsided on our second day, we passed a very happy and welcoming chambermaid in the corridor, and we were not interrogated about breakfast again. The night porter, chambermaid, and the Sunday morning receptionist should be the face of Premier Inn, Tamworth south. We had emailed the hotel prior to check-in regarding our late arrival but of course they didn't reply..Had we of only been staying for one night we would of had to continue our journey following no sleep or pre paid food..The first morning's breakfast was finally ruined because of the very cold temperature in the restaurant. My breakfast was cold before i had finished. We were shivering throughout the whole unforgettable experience. Our second and third nights were great.

great stay overall beds are comfy and warm highly recommended.the service I received by Samantha was amazing she went above and beyond to help with my situation,very polite lady.keep up the amazing work. perfect location and easy to locate

The staff at this hotel were brilliant. So good with our one year old son and so happy to help us with anything we needed. Sam, Ricky, Sophie and the chefs were brilliant. Sam was happy to help and bring food to the room on the evening because getting anything with a 1 year old at night was difficult. I would definitely stay there again.
