We stayed here for 3 nights. The first night was absolutely terrible. We went to bed and there was the most horrendous noise!! It equated to trying to sleep next to a 747 engine during take-off. I thought maybe a fan had been left on next to my window. At midnight, i went off to find the night porter (who was great) who assured me that he would investigate. However, the noise didn't stop, resulting in absolutely no sleep. The next morning, we went for our pre paid breakfast only to be told under no uncertain terms that we weren't on his list, so we absolutely hadn't paid. After he argued with us for several minutes, i decided to go back to the room for my email confirmation. He then decided to seat us whilst he checked.. He eventually came and informed us that yes, we had paid, and the same thing would probably happen the next morning. He gave us absolutely no apology for his rudeness. Now, I was very tired and hungry. i was so upset i just wanted to leave.. Fortunately, the noise subsided on our second day, we passed a very happy and welcoming chambermaid in the corridor, and we were not interrogated about breakfast again. The night porter, chambermaid, and the Sunday morning receptionist should be the face of Premier Inn, Tamworth south. We had emailed the hotel prior to check-in regarding our late arrival but of course they didn't reply..Had we of only been staying for one night we would of had to continue our journey following no sleep or pre paid food..The first morning's breakfast was finally ruined because of the very cold temperature in the restaurant. My breakfast was cold before i had finished. We were shivering throughout the whole unforgettable experience. Our second and third nights were great.
