Premier Inn Tamworth South

I like premier inn, they’re great. Unfortunately room 7 at Tamworth south premier inn is on the hard shoulder of a main road and as such is very noisy place to try and sleep. I did deploy the bedside fan on full velocity in the hope of a white noise distraction - unfortunately this was not enough to disguise the sharing bedroom. Bed good, breakfast good, people nice as usual. Got 4 hours kip though

The hotel was perfectly positioned for our 2 family days out. 1st day at Twycross Zoo 2nd day at Drayton Manor. The room was spacious for a family of 4. Had the usual fall out about which kid would get the 4th Camp bed with rock hard mattress. The room was tired and in need of a refresh. The bath was heavily stained and off putting, the bathroom was fusty and needed redecoration. We were warned about works on the joining restraunt but didn't expect the chaos that was breakfast. One poor girl serving the whole room. Breakfast was served to order and the continental option was mostly empty with long waits for items such as a drop of milk for a cup of tea. I'm sure this will improve when the works are done but manage expectations before you go.

Me and my Freind came for a night away to chill. Sophie was so friendly when we checked in. It all went so smoothly and she couldn’t do enough to help us. So friendly and welcoming! I wish all hotel receptionist were like Sophie!! Xxxxxxxxxxxxx

I feel like this is a carbon copy room review of the one I done of the Premier Inn Stevenage... In fact the hotel is a very similar looking building and I'm guessing age. And it tells. Firstly, the staff are excellent... If I was rating just the staff they would get 5 stars... The young lady in reception upon check-in and also the young lady working incredibly hard in the annexed Pub. Rooms... Dated... Very small TV, lack of charging points and no air conditioning... I always worry about this when booking a Premier Inn, because when they don't have air con, they are something else... It's not even hot out, it's march, it's night time and I lay here feeling hotter than I do when holidaying in the Mediterranean in the summer... The air flow in the rooms is non existent... The windows hardly open and the desk fan is circulating warm air... From this aspect, the room is horrific and would absolutely avoid staying in summer months... Pub is a strange one and I'm glad I altered my meal deal booking to just breakfast... Menu is limited and the atmosphere very strange... No one in there - will see what breakfast is like... Parking is convenient and location to the activity we are doing tomorrow likewise... I cannot give facilities anymore than a 2... The staff have bumped up the rating... Mixed bag

Disappointed, The room was of low standards, Tiny TV hard to see or hear, Standards seem to have dropped compared to our other stays there, Restaurant was totally empty apart from me and my brother even though it was on a Friday, Poor food as only had a limited menu, Felt sorry for the girl running the restaurant as she did her best to make us feel welcome, Didn't bother with breakfast the next day as we were the only two people in the restaurant again, Will be staying somewhere else at next visit to Tamworth.

One of my preferred Premier Inns. The hotel is obviously well looked after by a good team. Particular thanks to Sam working in reception this evening, who went out of her way to accommodate my awkward requests. One of those naturally conscientious people who are increasingly rare to find. She is a credit to Premier Inn and to this hotel in particular.
