Station Hotel

The hotel is a short walk from the railway and within easy access to the Cathedral and city centre. I stayed there for 2 nights. In the 1st night, the bathroom light was out of order as there was no one in the hotel to take care of it. Nothing was done in the following morning, and the only thing to be done is to change the room in the afternoon. The hotel looks tired and needs some touching up, yet the rooms are spacious, functional and clean, and the bed is comfortable. There is an issue with dampness in walls though it is not too serious. If you look for a budget place to sleep at night, this is the place for you.

I booked this hotel for one night, and it was a complete nightmare. I woke up around 2–3 a.m. covered in bed bug bites. I couldn’t sleep the entire night and had to go to the hospital due to the severity of the bites. When I approached the receptionist for a refund, they told me I had to request it through the app. However, despite the company I booked through contacting the hotel, they have yet to receive any response—even after three days! This level of service is completely unacceptable. I demand a full refund and compensation for the distress and inconvenience caused. Ignoring a serious issue like bed bugs is not only irresponsible but also a health hazard to future guests. I strongly advise others to stay away from this place until they properly address their hygiene and customer service issues.

Doors were locked early and was standing outside for over 20 minutes before being able to get in. Staff had to get brother to let us in. Not offended breakfast when booking. No staff at desk when leaving. No tv in room all tho they say there is one. The cleanliness could have been better.

Could not check in until a neighbour saw me and contacted the owner who still never came so the neighbour had to get us in. The bed was possibly the worst I have slept on no cover on the quilt and pillow but nobody to ask. Rubbish in bin and sink dirty

I had a sweet time here after 30hrs of travel. Great hotel, easy to get to from Norwich Rail Station. Friendly staff and easy to book on their own website. The staff were excellent on replying to email queries and more than accommodating with adjusting booking times. The room was very good, fully functional with adequate storage space and mood lighting. Excellent shower - space and power!! Excellent TV to view if you need that in a hotel room and lots of tea/biscuits readily available. Optional continental breakfast as well, which was more than enough to start the day. Easy walk to various sites of interest nearby. Great little spot.

Not a hotel, not a guest house or B&B, just a rundown place with rooms to let... Potential customers of this hotel should consider carefully whether or not to reside at this rundown, unclean and unwelcoming accommodation despite its good location close to the station and the city centre. On approach to the front door of the ‘hotel’ it was apparent that I had made an awful choice of a place to stay for the night given the broken tiles, dirty windows and the locked entrance door. When the lady finally answered the door, it then took her ages to locate my booking and finally check me in. Then she could not get rid of me fast enough, one of the worst, unfriendly welcomes at a hotel ever. The corridors leading to the room had stained carpets and an awful smell. The double room was dreadful, the bed was pushed into the corner, had no bedside cabinet, the bed was dressed with old, worn out linen with thin duvet and flat pillows, however, it was ancient, clapped out mattress meant that sleep was difficult and uncomfortable. There was Wi-Fi yet it was useless, the TV though new was missing most of the free-view channels. The window had no view as it had obscured glass. As for the en-suite bathroom this was so unclean I felt very uncomfortable using it, there were layers of scum and mould throughout together with cracked tiles everywhere. Noise was a constant issue, mainly from the loud plumbing and other guests in rooms above. This ‘hotel’ offered no food or drink offering, not even breakfast. So, how the proprietors can call this a hotel is beyond me. Absolutely atrocious and unforgivable.
