Alpine Hotel

Do not stay here! It's horrible. Dirty room , too dirty to shower, rude unhelpful staff. You feel uncomfortable from when you enter to when you leave. I was part of a tour so had no choice but hopefully you do. The towels were filthy the fridge was mouldy and no WiFi upstairs

The room wad so cool Also not wifi is worked in the room and the bathroom was not clean but the breakfast is good the staff was friendly

I am frequently in Nuwara Eliya but like to try out different hotels each time. As Alpine offered us a great rate we jump on it as this is one of popular hotels at Eliya. And has road access right to the front door. So we stayed 3 nights in a row. I think the hotel is more family oriented. But It suits for small groups too. You often see tourists here. Hotel is very quite and peaceful to stay. Easy 5 mins walk to town & super markets. Great location to explore the city, 'lake Gregory' and to everywhere. Spacious rooms are clean and socket outlets were square pin UK type. Hotel staff is service friendly and attentive. English speaking. Always with smile and pleasant. I should mention the name of head person of the hotel Mr. Mahinda. He is very attentive and knowledgeable about every tourist attraction around the tea country. He will explain more about those. Restaurant staff also attentive and food was fine. You can decide what to order.. Sri Lankan style or western type food, away from more touristy eateries. Mr. Croos is in-charge of the restaurant (i guess, didn't check it out). We had lovely delicious dishes all 3 days. Service was fast and efficient. Likes : Everything Dislike : Actually nothing to dislike Highly recommended and looking forward to our next stay.

This hotel is located in front of the Nuwara Eliya Race Course Ground. Staff if Friendly and helpful. During our visit hotel bar was close because of some bar license issue. Hotel is very old one but they maintain it's old style and rooms renovated with modern amenities. Bed is super comfortable one and hot water also not interrupted one because some hotel in Nuwara Eliya had issues with Hot water but we didn't face that issue in Alpine. Room rate also cheap compare to other hotels around this property. This property got ample parking space for guest's vehicles. Sunrise from the room was amazing. Highly recommend this hotel.

Alpine is definitely the place to be if you are searching for accomodation in the heart of Nuwara Eliya. This hotel is very old, yet is very appealing with it's vintage wood works, modern furnishing and importantly cleanliness. The hotel rates seemed very reasonable in comparison to the other places we looked at. The rooms were very comfy, and the food was mouth watering too. Mr Dhammika, the GM of this place was such an amazing gentleman. His hospitality was super class, made sure we felt like home in all ways. All our requests were satisfied to the best levels by both Mr Dhammika, and his co-worker Ananda. Alpine will definitely be our spot in all upcoming trips. It was indeed a trip to remember.

Nous avons étés volés de la somme de 250 euros en espèces alors que le sac a Dos était dans notre chambre fermée à clef et que nous étions (mon mari et moi ) au petit déjeuner à 9h le matin au rez de chaussée . Pas de coffre disponible dans la chambre par ailleurs . Il s’agit forcément d’un vol provenant d’un membre du personnel de l’hôtel qui a profité du moment du petit dejeuner pour s’introduire à notre insu dans la chambre et dérober la somme d’argent . Les faits se sont produits le matin du samedi 13/09/2025 entre 9h 10 et 9h40 ! Nous sommes très énervés de la situation , choqués,surtout que nous avions été très bienveillants (pourboire ) envers le jeune porteur la veille (….!!!…) C’est anormal Nous déconseillons fortement cet hôtel .
