The Wind Castle

We stayed in Wind Castle Hotel on 15th March 2025. We were allocated to 'Wilderness' Triple Room as we were three, myself, my wife and my daughter. Wind Castle is a very calm and quiet place with beautiful surroundings. Condition and the facilities of the room are good. There's a balcony but there's no seating facility. Bathroom is spacious and very clean. Hot water facility & water pressure is really good. Sulochana in Reception and Jayasena helped us a lot. We had an English breakfast in the morning, and it is good. Wind Castle is very close to the newly opened 'Eagles' viewpoint' (900m -walking distance). Check out time is Wind Castle is 11 am. I feel it is too early for one night stay. There's no HB facility also. We ordered dinner through Ala-carte Menu. We did not meet the Manager of the hotel to express our views regarding our stay. As the room balcony is completely covered with thick glasses, cold breeze cannot be felt. We are happy about the overall stay and this hotel is situated in a very attractive location. Architecture of the building suits to Nuwaraeliya.

Nice and Beautiful place. The breathtaking view of Piduruthalagala mountain range is infront of the hotel. The morning view of Mountain range covering with clouds is magnificent. You can hear the musical sound of the wind through out the stay as the name of the hotel implys. Felt like staying in a small castle. Service and Hospitality is great. They warmly welcome us. Rooms were clean and neat and warm. Tasty foods. Special thanks to Mr. Ravi who gave us great service. Highly recommend for a hotel stay in nuwaraeliya.

I highly recommend Wind Castle Hotel for anyone visiting Nuwara Eliya. It offers excellent service, stunning views, and a peaceful retreat in the heart of the hill country. The food was delicious, and we enjoyed a breakfast with an amazing view of Piduruthalagala. Situated in Shanthipura, the highest village in Sri Lanka, it’s an ideal getaway

We came for our honeymoon to this beautiful castle, the location is really beautiful and the staff here are friendly and always welcoming especially sulochana who always has a smile and enthuiastic whenever we saw her during our stay and she was very helpful to us. We reserved the summit room with an extra ordinary mountain view and the deco they made for the room was too beautiful. The dinner was excelent and the only minus is they do not have meat option in the breakfast and if required we have to get on extra cost though we went on Bed and Breakfast basis. We highly recommend this place and will definetly visit again with my parents.

Food was very delicious. Both the breakfast & the lunch we had was tasty. room service was great. Everybody in the hotel were very friendly and they made our stay a memorable one. The view was very nice. We stayed at the summit mountain view room. We will surely come back with our families next time.

We went as a family and stayed in the royal rest suite. The location was amazing, giving a panoramic view of the village below. The suite was excellent. Had a huge space with a carpeted floor consisting of two beds and a sofa area. The children had an amazing time. The sofa area includes a large window with the best view. Room,Bathroom,Linen and Towels were all good and clean. We went for the Ala carte menu in which the food was good and tasty and reasonably priced. Hotel has a well-maintained small garden.Staff was friendly and very supportive. A definite value for money, a place we would surely visit again..
