On the outskirts of town set in attractive grounds. Felt like it was a genuinely old colonial building set in an authentic residential area with vegetable plots in the area below the hotel. The hotel has maximised the outdoor areas so you can sit outside and enjoy the cooler air, an extra layer of clothing is definitely needed in the evening or early morning. (The shops in Nuwara Eliya can meet all those needs at good prices). My room was comfortable and everything clean and serviceable apart from the iron which someone had burned. If possible they should try to change the layout in the bar area. It is a small space which is nice and snug but the large chairs reduce the numbers of people who can sit there, some bench furniture would maximise space better. The food was of good quality, the take away breakfast they supplied one of the best we had on our tour. Budget accordingly for alcohol, the prices here for bottles of wine were slightly more than any others we encountered.
