Gregory's Bungalow

After visiting a few other local hotels that were terrible, our driver recommended here & it was spot on. Clean, great host, very affordable with a good location. After going around multiple places this was a great spot to settle for the night.

The place is a budget hotel so don’t expect anything big on product or service. But for a budget place they do a good job. Lovely garden with outside sitting area overlooking the lake and definitely can relax there. Inside sitting area with fire places are so nice but would have been great if they lit the fire places in the evening… We went there last moment on a busy weekend so didn’t have much choice but to go for this place and take the only room available on the ground floor. Ground floor rooms have little privacy because you can’t open the curtains as it opens up to car park in front and everyone in the garden to outside area can see inside the room. When you open the room door, gives a full view of what’s happening inside to outside. The room is a bit small for a triple. Not much room to move around. Tiny balcony Carpet is quite dated and dusty. No heaters available. So do not recommend ground floor rooms. Overall bed and bath linen seemed like hand washed so was not very clean. Room is very dull and dark and most of the lights didn’t work they definitely need to increase lighting. Room was not dusted properly and I have an allergy to dust so was sneezing and had runny nose through out.. Bathrooms have been renovated and quite good except it doesn’t dry up even after 24hours! Don’t forget to keep the Hot water switch on throughout the day otherwise it’s not very effective. They offer you plenty of hot and drinking water. Loved the coffee they made! They don’t offer any food or beverages except tea and coffee so you need to bring your own food. They do heat it up for you and set up on the dinning table. Staff and manager very friendly and welcoming and took time to make a conversation with guests and one staff member even played football with my son. For a budget place they do a good job but can improve on cleanliness of room and linen. Wish you Good luck and thank you for the friendly service! 🙏

We spend two nights in this bungalow - Jan 27th - 29th The location was so relaxing and peaceful with the cool breeze coming from the lake. But overall , the bungalow was not good and functioning as we expected and it’s NOT organized properly and welcoming. Only 1 heater is available for the whole bungalow and you have to buy other stuff like firewood from outside and it’s NOT provided by the bungalow. Kitchen is not tidy at all and the food prepared wasn’t good tho. Even the rooms were okay , the bungalow wasn’t just like in the pics. Staff is not efficient!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BUNGALOW
