Lovely hotel with excellent service. Beautiful views overlooking Forrest and mountains. Sunrise and sunset views. Room large with extra sitting area room. Verandah at front and back with great views. Staff very knowledgeable and helpful. Food excellent. Even packed lunch for 4am trekking. Thank you for a great stay. Highly recommend x

We stayed here for two days while visiting Nyungwe National Park. Comprising of 12 mini apartments, the rooms are tastefully decorated with a sitting room, bedroom and bathroom. There is also a lovely veranda where you can watch the birds and look out over the national park. Meals are provided in the main building - you need to order in advance. Breakfast has plenty of choices and can be eaten outside with great panoramic views. There are limited choices for vegetarians and each meal has a very substantial carb element but everything is freshly cooked. A packed breakfast is available for early starts. The staff are very friendly and helpful - they make the restaurant and engage throughout the meal.

Very nice and quite hotel near the park entrance. Nice large rooms with garden views. Hot water bottles placed in your bed to warm your sheets. Friendly and attentive staff. I have food allergies and they offered me alternatives without problem. Scenic view of the area and towards DRC. Nice landscaping.

I don't think you could find a more sweet, attentive and hardworking staff than those at Nyungwe Top View Hotel! We had to leave our hotel at 5 am for our Chimpanzee Trek, and the staff made sure our breakfast was packed at 4:30 am to take with us!! They also made sure we had enough time to have some coffee before we left by surprising us with some at our door. The views at the hotel quite frankly can't be beat, just absolutely beautiful. They also bring hot water bottles for your bed at night as it does get quite chilly. We had such a great time, it was really nice to come back to this hotel after a physically demanding hike! A huge thank you to the staff for helping us create such wonderful memories in Nyungwe National Park.

We stayed 1 night at Hill Top View. The positive - cottages were very clean with a hot shower. Staff was friendly and helpful. We were greeted with a hot towel, fresh squeezed juice and a cookie. Dinner and breakfast was a great buffet spread and they even packed us a boxed lunch for the road. We ordered the lunch the night before from a limited menu but it was tasty and plentiful. Location was easy to get to chimpanzee trek and canopy walk. They even cleaned our muddy boots for us after the trek. They looked brand new after they finished. We just added an additional tip for the amazing staff. Would definitely recommend a stay here. The negative - I can’t think of anything negative to say. Except there are multiple stairways so may not be a good choice if you have mobility issues.

Bets hotel in Nyungwe.. so special !!! It's the little things,, hot water bottles, fire in our room, cleaning our boots after our breaks! The food was fantastic, Service great ! Everything was really great.. shout out to Fabian and Jean de Amour. Very nice waitstaff. We loved it!!!!

If you’re familiar with Rwanda travel you’re probably used to the standard delivered. The hotel is in a good location but is underwhelming, dark and badly in need of renovation. The rooms are more like small apartments with a sitting room and bathroom. They are clean but the decoration is not pretty. The balcony has a nice view which helps make the place more enjoyable though. No internet in the rooms and the internet in the lobby is slow. The food was not great and if you don’t get the inclusive package, very overpriced. You’ll be charged almost 70$ for a meal for two which you’d get for 5$ in Kigali. I recommend getting at least breakfast included because there are no options nearby the hotel to eat, probably easier to get everything included. I will say the staff are very friendly and helpful, and as the options in Nyungwe are pretty limited unless you have a very big budget, you probably could do a lot worse. I’d just keep your expectations low, it is overpriced.

Stayed here 3 nights while trekking in Nyungwe. Excellent and friendly service, good food. Kudos to our always smiling and attentive server Fabian. Grounds are well kept. Rooms are spacious with large lanai, However, Rooms are a bit older and plain, steep stairs to restaurant.

We spent 2 nights one being Christmas Eve and thought it was incredible. The bungalows were spacious and very clean. We each had beautiful views from our rooms. The food at breakfast, lunch and dinner were excellent and filling. The team did a great job of helping my mom (gluten free) and me (lactose intolerant) navigate their menu to make sure we had delicious food, without either of us getting sick. They made Christmas Eve and Christmas Day special. We also loved having breakfast looking out over the volcanoes and the beautiful scenery. Service at the front desk and dining room were top notch. The bathroom in my room was dated, but spotlessly clean and huge. This is not a deal breaker in any way. My bed was comfortable as well. All three of us loved this hotel and would absolutely come back.
