Sierra Sky Ranch, Ascend Hotel Collection

After driving all day, looking forward to our room. Small room for King bed. No nightstand, lamp on my side, like to have H2O, book, phone by bed.. Bathroom door there instead. No coffee in room or refrigerator. For an Ascend Comfort Hotel we expected more. Should’ve book Holiday inn for more room. Beautiful location

Lovely venue, staff friendly & helpful. Each room opens onto a balcony overlooking trees or landscape. The building is unique & charming. The room was comfortable and there are a variety of comfortable places for guests to hang out and talk together. Room had nice toiletries and was well appointed with comfortable bed, large wardrobe and good shower.

We stopped here for one night after leaving Yosemite and cutting short. A disappointing stay at Wawona Hotel. This was exactly what we were looking for. Air conditioning, swimming pool, beautiful restored main building, good views from a veranda right off the guest room. Satisfactory but not extraordinary continental breakfast but the coffee was very good

This is a hidden gem in Oakhurst, CA. Perfectly located near Yosemite National Park , Bass Lake and downtown Oakhurst. Friendly, caring staff, comfortable and peaceful rooms. The lobby is so welcoming. We saw families enjoying the pool and complimentary s’mores kits over the fire pit. The area is adorned by market lights, so festive. We would highly recommend.

Well well well. Safe to say we had a great time at Sierra Sky Ranch. Fantastic location close to shops and gas stations as well as the South entrance to Yosemite. First thing in the morning to the gate took 20 mins in Sept and didn’t have to queue once. Absabloodytastic. They served breakfast very early in the morning to allow for a speedy getaway. Breakfast is nothing fancy but does exactly what it says on the tin #ronseal. Think pastries, mini boxes of cereal, toast, fruit(?) and a microwaved breakfast sandwich if wanted. No real veggie options however. The room itself was very spacious and even had two chairs out on the decking to utilise. There’s even a microwave to be used at your own convenience as the restaurant wasn’t open when we stayed. I bought a microwaveable chicken and Mac n cheese meal from the nearby store and ate it there, it was delicious. Apologies for the lingering smell it left behind, but at least I had a great time. The ranch is very old and possibly *******, however this was just my wife confusing people walking down the corridor with possible paranormal activity. It is definitely not *******, at least that’s what the old man sat in the corner of our room told me to say. We had a great time and would definitely use again if we came back to Yosemite. Tysm.

We stayed for one night on our way to Yosemite from Fresno. No one was at the front desk so we waited 15 minutes to check in. Disappointed that the tavern was closed for the summer and they offered a very limited continental breakfast. Room was comfortable but we felt like we were in the basement. It was a larger room with a sitting room, but would have preferred a standard room with more sun light.

I wish I'd taken the poor reviews more seriously. For the price, these problems were deal-breakers: * Small rooms, squeaky floors and regular foot traffic make it feel like you're sleeping in the hallway. * Soft beds that transfer motion. Other challenges that certainly didn't help: * Worst complimentary breakfast I've ever seen. Reheated Jimmy Dean sausage biscuits and a sad "continental" spread. * Restaurant was closed so we had to get back in the car to drive to dinner after hours on the road. * Strange grounds - felt like a few buildings and a motel pool that were placed in a random spot. Missed opportunity to include some fire pits or landscaping that would add ambiance. Veranda placement is also not conducive to enjoying a nice relaxing view. * Overall feeling of a property with a skeleton crew that's not being run with a lot of care. We did enjoy their common space, which was nicely decorated. Also, the rooms were clean and the few staff that were there seemed friendly. Would not recommend.

relaxing area, very calm, clean rooms. Could improve the quality of the breakfast, very good service but the choices offered is below what we have seen in other similar places in California. Overall, this is a very good place to stay for 1 or 2 nights.

I have booked this hotel by mistake and tryed to cancel the reservation the same day. I have spent a lot of time with this mission impossible. Sent several mails to 2 different mail-adresses. Tryed to call without success. Finally, they booked 278 € from my VISA. I cannot recommend this people.
