La Catrina de Alcala

I highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in Oaxaca. The location is perfect for walking just about anywhere in the old part of the city. The rooms are very large and each has it's own A/C. Filtered water is provided. Outdoor is locked for safety but always someone there to open the door. Breakfast was fresh fruit, pastry and fresh juice. Overall, a great place to say.

Our server at our restaurant was extremely friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend Lacatrina De Alcala restaurant and the hotel for your stay in Oaxaca. This will be a future place to stay. The rooms were clean, the AC worked great and the location was central for walking.

Service was amazing from Raphael Brito and food was fantastic. I can’t wait to come back. Will recommend to all of my friends in US. Loved the ambiance as well and don’t miss the museums in this neighborhood as well as the artistic Mercados!!!

Beautiful hotel recommended for art lovers! We truly enjoyed our 4 night stay in room 113. The location is exceptional, close enough to the plaza yet far enough from the noise. The hotel has everything that made our stay stress-free. Strong WiFi, great water pressure and functioning air-conditioning (although we rarely used it as the breeze into our room was delightful). The towels and amenities are good. The Reception and breakfast staff could not have been nicer, or more helpful. The transfer and tours recommended by the hotel were also very good. When we go back to Oaxaca, we will stay here again.

I could not recommend this hotel more. The ambience and the service are incredible. Rafael, Oscar and Angel were so wonderful and treated my husband and I so good and helped us celebrate our 10 year anniversary. We will come here here after you.

We were three couples took a small bus to Oaxaca from Puerto Escondido on the Pacific coast. We were delighted with our stay at La Catrina de Alcala. Our rooms were spacious & offered kingsized beds. A generous breakfast was included and available from 8 am to noon. The dining room was also open for lunch until mid -afternoon. The staff were all gracious and helpful. As it was low season when we were there the roof terrace was closed. The location was perfect for us as we could walk to the all places which drew our attention. There are many good restaurants in el Centro. The days were warm, some might say hot, but the nights were cool enough to allow us to sleep comfortably. At least one couple is planning to return next winter but for a week not just three nights. The photos on the website are accurate.
