Falls of Lora Hotel

房間很大，氣派，附近環境非常好，可以慢慢散步，自帶的飯店也不錯，就是需要預約，第二天沒預約就沒位了，幸好不遠處也有別的飯店

Dirty, mouldy room not cleaned, bedding not changed when asked due to feather allergies, mouse droppings in room. Verbally abused outside by a man who later said he was owner. Had to call the police he and a group of men intimidating me from outside my window. Said staff told him my room was full of ***** (all prescription meds - they must have gone through my bags after I showed them the dirty room. Hostile staff - major safety and repair issues - AVOID

My wife an I ate here twice, one dinner and one lunch. Both were good meals at a reasonable price. My wife's mussels as a main were plentiful and fresh. There is a nice big open fire in the middle of the bar eating area. Nothing too fancy here, just good food done well. Much better than the crowded and impersonal places in Oban, which is only 15 mins drive away.

First of all these were the only rude people we encountered in our entire trip through Scotland. Everyone except for the lovely server at breakfast was completely uninterested and thoroughly rude. To start off, we showed up well after dark because of some delays that were outside of our control. It was pouring rain. No lights AT ALL, no obvious path, and no sign pointing the way to the entry from the sketchy little car park. We were not at all certain that we were not in someone's backyard hunting around with flashlights. After taking a fall in the rain in the dark ,one of my group found the entrance. We arrived dripping wet, muddy and confused and were immediately informed that we were the last guests to arrive. Which I'm still not sure what that was even supposed to mean.... But the girl could not be bothered to even look at us because she was too busy flirting with one of the other employees. Then another employee walked through and almost spilled his drink on me. I had to jump out of his way to avoid it. Apparently it was inconvenient to have me there trying to check in. No information was given no questions were answered we were invisible essentially. That's what happens when you have teenagers running your hotel I guess. The whole hotel was super musty. You want to make space for it to be charming because you're in Scotland right and parts of it at least are a beautiful old building, but dirty. Sooooo dirty. mouse droppings behind my bed. Someone else's hair in the drain. I didn't even want to take off my shoes. It was Scotland's answer to the Overlook hotel for sure in terms of weird and creepy. Also be warned, they will go into your room without your permission while you are at breakfast " to change your linens" unless you put up the do not disturb sign.but guess what? they don't give you a do not disturb sign. We read multiple reports of peoples' things being gone through while they were at breakfast. We really should have read the reviews first. So I'm hoping mine will save you the trouble. Skip it. You would do better to sleep in the boot of your car. I do want to say that the lovely woman who served us breakfast was a bright spot. Not sure why she stays working there frankly.

Booked in at short notice to stay in what I think was one of the cheapest room in the hotel. But dont let that put you off. Room was clean and comfortable and quiet. Food was freshly cooked, and staff were friendly. I would stay again if I was in the area.

Our second stay here and what a marked difference from our first stay. The rooms have been refurbished, new hallway carpets and an altogether better experience. Our room was clean and well laid out, amazing friendly staff and credit to the chefs the food was brilliant. I would have no hesitation in booking again.
