Ardtorna

Set in a wonderful quiet location with spectacular views of the loch Karen the host has provided luxurious accommodation. No stone had been left unturned in the attention to detail and such colourful elegant design throughout. Evening meals are to order and delicious. Breakfast is an amazing experience. We wished we could have stayed longer.

We stayed here for two nights on our way to the north of Scotland. I think this may be the best B&B I have stayed in- no exaggeration. The rooms are beautifully furnished. It’s nice and quiet. The bathroom is lovely with Molton Brown products. We had ordered a large antipasti platter for when we arrived which was very tasty. The breakfasts were amazing. There is a well stocked bar with soft drinks, wine and spirits. We didn’t partake but were tempted! Karen the owner is a great host, warm and welcoming.

Husband & I stayed in the Dunstaffnage room. It was amazing the view is like an oil painting & all the luxury touches make you feel pampered. We added another night on to our three nights already booked because we didn’t want to leave. The breakfast, sparkle station, bar & evening menu are well thought out & truly 5*. Stay here you won’t regret it but book directly for best price & extras.

We stayed at Ardtorna for 3 nights and on arriving received a very warm welcome from Karen. On our first night we took advantage of the option to have our dinner, a lovely stir fry, prepared by Karen, accompanied by a good bottle of of wine and incredible views across the loch to the mountains and watched the sunset. The breakfast menu offers plenty of options and is freshly prepared each morning with an extensive list of accompaniments. A well stocked ‘honesty bar’, maybe not for breakfast, is available with a wide variety of drinks, especially for the gin fans. The attention to detail in everything is incredible and there is a quality feel everywhere you look. Bed really comfortable and en-suite well designed with easily accessed shower. Parking is easy and overall location fantastic with beautiful views.

Wonderful host, nothing too much trouble and accomodation spotlessly clean, lots of unexpected and tasty extras. Breakfast varied with lots of unusual ingredients that give extra lift to the mundane Scottish breakfast, booked for 1 night stayed for 3 nuff said. Perfect and lovely experience. Karen is a perfect host and very informative about the area.

We have been fairly regular visitors to Ardtorna over the last few years and we were excited to return for a 3 night stay to celebrate my partner's birthday. We were looking forward to seeing the newly refurbished rooms and we weren't disappointed - the rooms are stunning and the standard of furnishings is of the highest quality. The bed is the comfiest I have ever slept in. Breakfast is always a treat and it is nice that you sit at a long table with the other guests and can chat about where we have visited and share recommendations. The choice of breakfast dishes is the best I have ever seen and I'm glad we had 3 opportunities to try different dishes. We ordered a Seafood Platter for our first evening which we enjoyed while sitting out on our terrace watching the sun set. Karen provided a few extra treats I requested as it was a birthday special. Much appreciated. We were blessed with beautiful weather which meant we could enjoy the view across Loch Creran at sunset every evening. Karen is always ready with a warm, friendly welcome and she and her team just make you feel at home. Karen deserves all the recognition in the awards she has received recently as she puts a lot of heart and soul into making Ardtorna a special place to stay. Sometime we will stay for a week!
