Nice escape in the woods Comfortable, not a luxury hotel, but good for a family getaway to the woods and Russian River. Check-in was easy and the staff are very pleasant. Pool was clean, my kid enjoyed it the two days we stayed. Easy to get to Monte Rio/Guerneville/Bodega Bay. A few restaurants within a block radius (town is only a few blocks long!), recommend Howard’s Station Cafe for breakfast, and Joe’s Bar/Negri’s restaurant (same place) for dinner.

Excellent! The lodge is very clean and the staff is very helpful. The restaurants and businesses is just across the establishment. Check them out.

If staying mid-week, only one restaurant open - Mexican. The General Store has a deli though with soup and fantastic sandwiches. Also, need a night stand on both sides of the bed. Otherwise, nice room.

The couch was extremely uncomfortable and the noise between rooms made sleeping almost impossible. The room was updated and very clean. The location is excellent.

Amazing stay! Was only one night after we went to coast we enjoyed the quaint little town! Will definitely be returning. Staff was super friendly and helpful as well!

The FIRE alarm started going on and off a few times starting after 10:30 p.m. it was very worrisome with only 911 left to call. We do not smoke… The office was closed so no one was available to help. I finially got it to stop. It was very troublesome. I left a message on the office phone that was listed but they were gone for the night. It is a hard wired alarm! When we checked out at 9:00 they had not listened to the message…. The office staff did not show any concern about the inconvenience…. Needless to say we will not be returning…

Just stay here, easy and low key. Family Friendly My family has been frequenting the lodge for the last 5 years, slowltly the upgrades have been coming but always the ease and price has been great. The PM manager/GM has always been a pleasure he has seen my family grow and always remwmbers us with a smile. Be kind we are lucky to have places like this.

Fine stay amongst the trees Beautiful setting amongst the trees, super close to town, very clean room, great shower, and friendly front desk staff. No blackout shades made for a bright sleeping situation. The walls were very thin, and we could hear the snoring upstairs. Fine for passing through but bring earplugs!

Will go again;) It was the second stay this time, and got upgraded to a newly decorated room, very stylish;) Nicest shower, large marble counter with two sinks, etc. They might want to consider curtains in addition to the blinds due to location near stairs light. But there were two beds so could meet that in different ways. Then if you dont know Occidental; its a hidden charming town in the mountains just off the beaten trail (aka highway One;), complete with super restaurants and charming stores, just perfect! Almost would want to keep it a secret, but hey, here we go!
