This pretty little holiday home is set only 150 metres from the lake inthe lovely residential area Visjön in Ödeshög. At the jetty the boat lies waiting for wonderful fishing or bathing expeditions.You enter the cottage via the terrace and step into an open plan livingroom and kitchenette. The living room is spacious, featuring a sofasuite, TV and wood-fuelled stove. Adjacent to it you will find thewonderful, glazed conservatory with its enchanting view of the lake.The bedroom is large and features a comfortable double bed with a widthof 180 centimetres. The bathroom contains a tiled shower area, a WC, anda wash basin.There is also a guest house with a bunk bed, perfect for the olderchildren who might want some space and privacy. The garden is well kept,with a big lawn for the children to play on. A little gravel path takesyou to the wonderful public beach, 150 metres from the house. It offerschanging huts, changing rooms, climbing frames, a dock system with bathladders, a sandy beach and a grassy area. Everything in excellentshape! Take the opportunity to take the boat out for fishing. You can buy a fishing license at the boat rental, only 400metres from the cottage.The area offers a lot to do and the nature here is outstanding, withits open landscape! One of Swedens biggest lakes, Vättern, is only 5kilometres away. The picturesque town of Gränna is only 30 kilometresaway, offering charming little shops and restaurants. Gränna is knownfor its stripy, hard candy canes, “Polkagrisar”, and you can visit thesmall factory and see how they are made. Why not take a day trip to thecharming island of Visingsö? There you can take a ride in a horse-drawncarriage all around the island. Another great destination is the old,picturesque town Vadstena. Vadstena was once up for becoming the capitalof Sweden, before Stockholm was chosen. King Gustav Vasa built a castlehere in the middle ages and it still stands today, in excellent shape.There are also several beautiful old churches and a convent where theBirgitta sisters live.
