This is a big alpine home in Ohakune but it is still rural so there is a huge garden to enjoy and it has exceptional views up to the mountain. A little path crosses the stream and there is a parkland of trees to explore. It is a quiet place for feeling the calm tranquility of the mountain, with loads of space for kids to build huts and run wild. 25 minutes to Turoa ski field. 20 minutes walk to Ohakune centre, 3mins drive. This listing is for the left hand side of the house. We also rent out a barn conversion on the property. A very comfortable stay
We had a lovely time in Ohakune. This property is very peaceful and has a beautiful view on Mt Ruapehu. The place was very comfortable. Just note that the stairs are very steep.

Nice house in natural environment
I stayed there for about a week.
We were able to spend a quiet and relaxing time in the midst of nature, surrounded by healthy animals such as sheep and chickens. The house is handmade, so sometimes there is a creaking sound of wood, but once you get used to it, it is comfortable. There was a time during our stay when the wifi did not connect, but the owner fixed it.
I would recommend this place to anyone who likes to spend time in nature.
