Sandals Royal Barbados All Inclusive - Couples Only

The Good, the resort itself is beautiful, the resort grounds are breathtaking, and the restaurants serves most amazing and delicious food - our favorite restaurants were Butch's Chophouse, Soy and Schooner's, all at the Sandals Barbados side. A special thank you to the staff at La Parisienne restaurant where we had all our breakfasts and our last dinner at the resort, great food, great staff and an amazing location. Our three butlers were good; they may have been overworked but overall, they were good. The resort spa is the best part of that resort; we had a couples massage outdoors and it was unbelievably good... big thank you to all the staff at the Red Lane Spa at SRB. The Bad, the thermostat in the room was out of order; the AC would not turn off at night and temperature would dip to 16 C or 61 F. We contacted the front desk and requested to have this issue rectified, the technician left the AC's side door unlocked and asked us to switch the AC on and off from a main switch you'd expect this in 3* Cuban resort but not at Sandals Royal Barbados. We also did not have a maid service to in our room on two separate occasions and we were left with a messy bed and no clean towels . The bars were meh... the bartenders need some retraining as they don't know how to make a simple cocktail. The beach towels issue is real, you won't be able to get a clean towel at the beach passed 10 am, I had to constantly remind myself that this is Sandals Royal Barbados and not Cuba... was this issue bad? Yes, it was, not something you see at a 5-star resort, unbelievable. Finally, the Very Ugly, we booked our vacation through Air Canada Vacations (ACV) in June of 2024; we paid $12494.00 for a (PL1B) which is a Penthouse One Bedroom Oceanview Butler Suite... for 7 nights stay. 10 days before our travel we received a letter from ACV that our trip has been cancelled because, according to the letter, SRB is doing a major renovation to the resort, and they have to cancel some reservations. We fought back; needless to say, Air Canada was useless and a bunch of cowards. But when we finally threatened ACV with legal counsel, we received another letter, four days before our travel stating that Sandals will honor our original arrangement and that we will be flying to Barbados. When we arrived to the resort, we found out that there was no renovation going on at the SRB and it seems that they may have lied to us to accommodate some families of the numerous wedding parties. Needless to say, we are discussed by this experience and, even though we loved this resort, I don't think we will choose Sandals anytime soon. We would never, ever recommend this resort to any of our friends or family.

Highly recommend Sandals royal at the butler level. Reserved seats in a preferred location without having to get up super early is the best decision we made! Dinners reserved in advance for us and lunches delivered poolside were some of our highlights. Will definitely be back!

The resort is spotless and well maintained. Plenty of pools and restaurants/bars on the premises. The issue we had is we are senior citizens and getting around this huge resort was difficult for us. I recommend Sandals purchases maybe 4 golf carts to shuttle their guests around the resort. All employees were very friendly and polite. Adults only a big plus!

My husband and I had the most wonderful holiday celebrating my 40th birthday. Our amazing team of butlers, Tremayne, Tony and Kadeen made it so special for us! The service we received was so personal and they really went the extra mile. One evening we got back to our room to rose petals, a bubble bath, champagne cooling and a lovely message to wish me a happy birthday! Stand out restaurants for us included Soy (some of the best sushi we’ve ever eaten!), Butch’s Steak and Seafood and Schooners. This was our second holiday to Sandals Royal Barbados and we will definitely be back. Thank you all again for making this week so memorable and relaxing!

We have just come back from 10 days at Sandals Royal Barbados and i cant rate this hotel more highly. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the rooms are lovely and clean spacious and cool (maybe a little too cool as the air con is very good!) They have lovely bathrooms and a fully stocked fridge which even had champagne believe it or not! The hotel is located on a beautiful stretch of sandy beach and there are plenty of loungers and umbrellas, although you do have to secure them pretty early in the morning if you want a particular spot. There’s always loads of clean towels you can use there as well. The sea is lovely and clean although there was a bit of sargasso seaweed coming in towards the end of our stay. This was however cleaned away early morning by an army of workers thankfully. I cant express how good the food is at the resort. The dining options are unbelievable. We went to a different place for our evening meal nearly every night. You have the use of the adjoining Sandals Barbados hotel as well and it’s impressive just how many places to eat there are as well as the amazing quality of the food. I had an issue while there and had to have an emergency dental appointment unfortunately. Nurse Kendra in the nurses station was amazing and arranged everything for me as i had to leave the resort to go to the Urgent Care centre a 15-20 minute taxi ride away. I’d like to thank her very much for her help. Some of the evening entertainment was superb and the live singers were really good. We have said we would definitely go to another Sandals resort as this was so impressive. There is also a PADI dive centre on the resort and they were great. Really nice people. All in all a fantastic holiday.

Comfy beds but no rose wine! Lovely location although beach disappointing with red flag everyday for swimming. Room was centrally located with balcony bathing tub but rooms tired and noisy from air con unit outside rooms. Restaurants were excellent particularly with allergies and all staff were very friendly- said hi when walking passed. Very spacious resort with two hotels onsite. Lots of options for eating but not easy to book a la carte restaurants which was necessary due to my gluten free requirement avoiding cross contamination in the buffet were we witnessed people picking at food with their fingers and then putting it back!! Optics spirits in room but as we only drink rose wine untouched- enquired as to why no rose but usual no adequate answer- usa don’t drink rose!! Second Sandals and probably our last geared towards Americans and butler suites which I don't agree with- the way some spoke to them was awful! Overall we enjoyed the holiday but as we were limited with food and drink choices for the cost involved would try another resort.
