This place could be fantastic, but it seems the customers of the hotel are not the priority of the managers. They seem much more attentive to the needs of those who pay higher amounts to be there, such as film crews shooting TV commercials in the beautiful setting of the chapel. On the day we were there, a whole and noisy film crew - shooting what seemed to be a beer commercial - had invaded the breakfast room with their equipment, shouting orders at each other, making it impossible for the "regular customers" to enjoy a peaceful breakfast. Asked to intervene, the managers were not responsive. The hectic atmosphere was extremely far from what one would expect from a former abbey. This careless management was also felt in smaller, less important details, but nevertheless annoying: - our room is advertised on the website as equipped with a small refrigerator, but there was none; - one of the two beds had no bedsheet. For peace and quiet, and a minimum of comfort, this is sadly not the place to go.

The Abbey is a surprise. Different. It is classed as a hostel but rooms and building were good. Building and history dramatic. A real paradise for biking and walking the grounds. The Bistro is a romantic restaurant located on site. Large pictures on the walls and halls speak to its religious history. Most rooms have a shared bathroom.

This was the perfect stay for a nice getaway in western Quebec. We are on our way from visiting Montreal to Ottawa and thought a stop in the Quebec countryside would be a nice contrast to the city visits that we are doing. The Abbaye d’Oka is immaculate, offers a comfortable amenities, and has a very nice continental breakfast included. As you would expect in a former monastery, this property has a simple decor, but it is inviting and in a beautiful setting.

For the price , I think one is best serve at a hotel with all amenities not far from this place, St eustache has few places much cheaper and at least you got a bathroom and shower in your room...this place is absolutely not worth it... unless they charge accordingly..

Magnifique endroit pittoresque et mystique mais qui aura besoin d'ajustements pour survivre. Nous avons loué une chambre samedi le 7 septembre 2024 et on ne savait pas à ce moment qu'un mariage y aurait lieu. Erreur pour nous car nous nous sommes endormis seulement à 24h20 lorsque la musique a cessé. Lors de notre arrivée à la réception, après avoir payé notre chambre, on nous a fait signer une décharge pour le bruit lors d'événement. On ne savait pas ce que cela signifiait au juste mais maintenant on a tout compris. Dans la soirée ne pouvant pas dormir à cause de la musique, on a demandé à qu'elle heure la musique cesserait la réponse 23h00. En fait, notre calvaire a cessé à 24h20. On leur a demandé de changer de chambre pour être plus loin du bruit, leur réponse est que les autres chambres n'étaient pas faites. Manque de respect flagrant pour leur clientèle. Notre petite chambre était propre et le déjeuner bon et copieux. Le personnel est courtois mais ne décide pas des procédures des propriétaires. Cependant pour une chambre à 200$/210$, on s'attendait à beaucoup plus. Ce qui serait bien avec peu d'investissement serait d'ajouter un mur coupe son `l'intérieur de la rosasse ou encore de préparer pour les clients qui ne font pas partie du mariage une chambre éloignée du bruit comme la 309 ou 310. On en a pas eu pour notre argent. Dommage pour les propriétaires car on ne réservera plus à l'Auberge de l'Abbaye d'Oka. Richard et Ginette Gauvin
