Gardenia Beach Hotel - All Inclusive

Comfortable bed, clean rooms... very nice and professional service, a bit of a lack of English especially among the cleaning staff, in the bars you can easily communicate even in Polish...😆 lots of cats😅 two swimming pools, access to the beach... delicious food, I recommend

I will start by saying this is a great hotel but there are some negatives. Pools Very cold, we did go in May so this may be why as I guess the sun is not as hot but my 3 year old did not like how cold they were, however it did not bother my 7 and 9 year old You are able to use Inflatables which is great There are 4 pools in total. My eldest children loved the slide pool, however I did find the 10-12 and 3-5 slide times very restrictive. We had to plan our day around that and it did get annoying. I also found the lifeguards were not consistent with their rules and monitoring the slides. They would also often close them 10 minutes early. My daughter was walking up the stairs and the lifeguard had turned off the water for the slides, so we had to shout up to my daughter to tell her to come down. He had failed to put the chain across to stop children walking up. Had we not noticed she may well have hurt herself. Also they don't speak any English (a common theme at this hotel) My three year old liked the little round pool that was gated off from the main pool. This was a nice touch as it's a safe space for them to have a paddle. The toddler pool I did not see used by toddlers sadly. I saw toddlers paddling in the water when the splash bit was not on but when it's running I think it's too cold and too intimating for little ones. This was a big disappointment as when choosing this resort we looked at that pool and thought he would love it but I feel there needs to be a bigger area for toddlers where they can just paddle and maybe a few little slides. Reception Very disappointed. When we arrived early hours of the morning we were not supplied much information at all and just did not feel very welcome. They did however help us with our luggage to the room which was appreciated but did feel like they just wanted a tip. We also felt this when we checked out, they hovered as if waiting for a tip which at the end we did give but felt very pressured and I feel a tip is something that should not be expected. When we checked out the man did not even get off the phone to ask us about our stay, very disappointing Room I was impressed with the room, plenty of storage space for clothes. Sadly no English channel other then news. This was hard for the children when they wanted to wind down. Our view was not great as overlooked the tunnel rather then a pool but we did not overly mind this. The mini bar is free of charge and kept topped up with water. The cleaners do a great job, our room was always tidied when we returned from our day and they were always friendly. My husband did however really get attacked by what we assume was bed bugs. We also felt the bed sheet were too small so had to request another one, but we did receive this within 2hr of this request. We also had a faulty shower head, but this was sorted within hours too. Perfect hotel, perfect location and October - perfect weather! Great services, nice and supportive staff, several types of relax zones where you can enjoy all possible holidays activities. Amazing seaside - close island for scubadiving.

The hotel is simply paradise. Beautiful accommodation, garden, cleanliness, nice staff, excellent food, beautiful sea and beach. We come back every year and next year will be no different. The hotel is very quiet, pleasant and you can really recharge your batteries and relax here.

Just returned home from here. Had a fabulous holiday. As an English family,we never found any problems with staff communication, reception staff can communicate great with you. We were the minority but it wasn't a problem. Hotel was immaculate. Rooms cleaned daily. Table staff cleaned away as soon as your finished eating. Everywhere was just really well looked after. Reception staff will go out of their way to help you. It cost us €32.50 for a safe, 10 is refunded on departure. This area of Turkey seems to prefer euro to any other currency. The bazaar which is not far and accessed via an underpass on the busy road, will snap your hands off for pounds but everywhere else seemed to prefer euro over their own lira currency. Hotel food was lovely,but I'm not a fussy eater,I can see how fussy eaters or people who prefer British food might not like it. Although during the day you can get Pizzas, chips and burgers at the beach bar. Ice creams are only for an hour a day but they're all your branded walls ice lollies and no shortage of them. There are priced spirits and cocktails but also a list on all bars of those that are included in the all inclusive. The only problem with this hotel is not getting a sun lounger for all the greedy folk who get a lounger,leave a towel om it and leave it unoccupied all day long. I got a lounger 1 day out of 9 and that was because I joined the others in getting up at silly o clock to put my towel down. I set an alarm for 0515 to get my towel down as this is what time they start to get their towels down on the pool loungers and also they do the same on the beach loungers from this time. I felt ridiculous but I wanted at least 1 day by the pool. I could not be bothered to do this day after day and find it such a petty and greedy thing to do. We managed to find beach loungers later in the afternoon,but you often have to hunt down the guy for a brolly as they are collected in. The day trips we booked on the beach, we compared prices with the travel shops at the bazaar and there wasn't really any difference so booked through the beach based group. I think the evening entertainment could be a bit better, especially as you hear the music from surrounding hotels and want to be at their parties instead. One more thing that could make guests lives easier is to have more than 1 room card. For 4 adults we had 1 card. An extra one would help alot. The massages just behind the beach hut selling the day trips is cheaper than the ones on the complex. There is a desk beside the beach bar selling massages, this is for the complex spa,it's double the price of the other place. My son is waiting on a hip replacement and he managed the stairs around the place but needed some rest times. I suffer with my back and did not manage,I put my back out and was in pain the whole holiday. The steps are a problem if you've got mobility problems. There are ramps,some are quite steep and just as hard to do as the steps. I wouldn't recommend

The room, in fact the whole complex is very clean. The staff are all "extra mile" friendly, helpful and competent. It's in need of a few minor repairs here and there due to the high humidity in the region. A little bit more shade and signs/information would be appreciated in the common areas. Food is good but no Michelin star, it's mostly Turkish but the kids can still get chips and a hamburg/chicken nuggets. Such a great little place to relax, i.e. not a party hotel. Probably not advisable for people with mobility issues as there are quite a lot of steps. There are quite a few cats wandering around the complex, bring your antihistamine if you're allergic 😉 We're definitely going back when it's not so stiflingly hot.
