Petra Segreta Resort & Spa

A nice 5* experience!!- we would love to come back! What a Beautiful place. We stayed 3 nights in deluxe room with sea view and good privacy! However, Make sure your reservation for the hotels two restaurants are confirmed before your arrival - they charge 48Euro to drive you 2 km to San Pantheleo. (each way) We did make our reservation in advance but they did not sign us up for the restaurants so one evening we ended up with room service which was 20euro plus 35 Euro for each cheese burger. But at least the view was fantastic. All Drinks were 25 euro and did not include snack. We really missed a free shuttle to town- or at least for a fair price. Road to the hotel is dangerous with many blind angels so we recommend transfer arranged by the hotel. It was 110 Euro to the airport in Olbia. In spite of high prices we will definately recommend this hotel. What a nice experience! We would love to come back

High up in the hills above Olbia with magnificent views over the islands and sea. Each room is private, discretely placed and built into the granite hill side - designed by the owner who is an architect and can be regularly seen in the hotel. There are 3 restaurants. One with a Michelin star (Secreta Fuoco), one roof top restaurant and one near the pool. Totally isolated with nothing nearby - absolutely quiet, no traffic noise or airplanes. The staff are very helpful and friendly, particularly Francesco on the front desk and Giuseppe plus others in the restaurants.

Petra Segreta is a beautiful gem, hidden away on a windy street near a small town. The hotel consists of a series of buildings that are cleverly placed in the landscape so as to maximize the views of the hills and water. The rooms are on the smaller side, but they were perfectly comfortable and well appointed. We were in room 301, which has a private terrace with a killer view. We indulged in a spa treatment here, and the massage therapists did an excellent job. If you are driving there, the road in can be a bit tight, especially since it seems to get a decent amount of truck traffic, so be careful on the turns. The hotel is about 5 minutes away from San Panteleo, which is a very nice town with good, affordable restaurants and excellent shopping. It is a little further from the many amazing beaches in Casta Smerelda - about a 20 minute drive. If you don't need to be on the water, and you appreciate a quiet mountain setting, Petra Segreta is a great choice. One minor comment - the staff are all very young and don't have the knowledge or service skills that we might expect from a luxury property. They were all extremely nice and did their best to be helpful, but we were a bit disappointed in how much they seemed to struggle with some pretty ordinary inquiries. This did not mar our experience there, though - we had a wonderful time and really appreciated the beauty of the property.

Wonderful location and terrific service and food. Enjoyed a lovely pool and spa. Only issue is lack of drawers. Didn’t need much but needed to put some clothes in a desk drawer

Charming Boutique Hotel with a great restaurant. The property is set up in the hills and has great views. Rooms are OK, our friends had to change rooms as it was dark and noisy but our room was good. The charm of the place are the common areas of the hotel where you can find a notch and chill out. We were there for 3 days before going on charter and it was a great place to acclimatize ourselves to Sardinia. Restaurant was very good and service was great. Breakfast was perfect with a mixture of healthy and filling. Wine list if good. Make sure to have a digestive Mitro after dinner or a spritz before. If you get a chance, walk into town and have a traditional plate of flat bread and cheese. The walk is for the fit..

Romantic and Peaceful Stayed here for our anniversary AND my husband’s birthday. Our room + the restaurant was spectacular, as well as the service. The views and area around the property are amazing and the entire time we stayed here, we were just extremely happy. WHAT an overall experience.
