Oceanus Aparthotel

We had a lovely holiday, our room was spacious (1 bed apt, 2 people) We had a massive sun terrace and a separate balcony which was great. Daily cleaning and regular towel changes. Bar staff were so hardworking and pleasant, entertainment in the bar was not so great. Would recommend booking a bali bed. Pools were clean and not overly busy although sun beds were snapped up early, but readily available into the afternoon. Lots of places to eat locally and about a 10 min walk to the beach with bars and restaurants. We travelled around on day trips and found it peaceful returning to the hotel. I would stay again.

We have been to the Oceanus several times and will certainly do so again in the near future. The staff and I mean all of them have really made us feel so welcome each time. Always a hug and a smile from everyone. The pool is great for families and couples but please note you will have many who are up early to place their towels out at 08.30. By 9.15 most of the loungers will be occupied. Between 12-4pm is probably the hottest and you will certainly need a dip in. the outdoor pool. I have used the indoor pool several times and it's very relaxing to use. The staff will go out their way to advise and help you all the time. To us they are friends and we look forward to seeing them again!

I hate to write such a negative review. However I believe in the interest of saftey that people dont attend this hotel via jet2. Firstly, the photos you see online from the hotel are completely inaccurate. Absolutely awful stay. The hotel is outdated, dirty (mouldy bathroom, dead bugs on ceiling, no clean towels each day), and badly run (you cant cook in the apartments easily the facilities are so poor). It’s right on a main road in a built-up area, with noise blasting all night no matter which way your room faces. The walls are paper thin — you hear everything: people walking, talking, being intimate, scraping furniture and more. Our first room was next to a guest blasting music until 1am for days — staff refused to move us until I was in tears. Cleaners rarely turned up, sometimes not until 5pm when we needed to get ready, and even broke some of our toiletries. Towels are a complete scam — charged £10 each for the smallest mark, then taken away and never returned. Bathrooms were mouldy, facilities broken, pool unusable, and the “gym” a joke. Staff were rude, dismissive, and even shouted at me not to complain to Jet2. One of the rudest members of staff are in photos of other reviews. The surrounding area is nothing but a loud party strip, definitely not suitable for families. The entertainment is awful, not for children, loud karaoke wailing can be heard until 11pm to the 2nd floor. Worst of all, we came down with the worst stomach virus after eating the food here. We are home and still sick, on route to see a UK doctor.

This was our first family holiday with my husband on peritoneal dialysis. As you could imagine, we were very nervous to embark on an international holiday. Before we had booked the hotel, we emailed them to make sure they were happy for us to bring the dialysis machine and for the hotel to accept a delivery of dialysis fluid a few days before we arrived. The manager of the hotel was more than happy to help us with any needs we had. The hotel accepted the delivery of fluid, checked it was all correct and stored it for us until we arrived. They then delivered it to our room. They made us feel automatically welcome and supported. When my husband went to set up his machine, the worst had happened: it had been damaged in transit! After a lot of phone calls to the dialysis company, a plan was made for then to deliver a new machine. I spoke with the hotel reception staff and they were SO supportive and agreed to accept the delivery and even encouraged us to go out for the day and they will ring me when it arrived. Their kindness was overwhelming and absolutely what we needed then and there, in a situation where we wanted to pack up and go home. The machine was delivered and we could then get back to enjoying our holiday. This was mine and my daughter's second trip here (my husband wasn't well enough to travel in 2024 so my Mum came with us). Our first experience was so positive, we knew we wanted to come again. There are a lot of activities and trips available to book which the hotel staff can help you with. The apartments have everything you need to self cater, with a small kitchenette. The pools are the perfect size, with a lovely bar on site. The food is great, with lots of options, for all tastes; and a great cocktail menu. Ohlos de agua is a beautiful town with 2 beaches near by. The views are incredible. There are plenty of restaurants on the same road as the hotel. We would recommend 5 Fratellis which is on site with the hotel. Prices are very reasonable. There are 2 supermarkets near by also. We will definitely be returning 😊🏖🌴

Firstly 5th time here superior 1 bedroom apartment dated but clean beds fine bathroom fine air conditioning not great so sleep not great to warm queuing for sunbeds was a first here all sunbeds away 10 minutes after pool opened but met most people in the sunbeds que staff were nice the folks in the pool bar and restaurant were brilliant olhos d agua is a quiet resort that might not suit everyone but if it’s party time your after £10 taxi into alburfeira stag and hen central all in all we will be back
