Rogač Rooms & Restaurant

Simply a must go to if in the area around Omis - we stayed local to the restaurant and decided to walk along about 7:30 for dinner - we were told they were full but could wait in the bar and have a drink whilst we waited for a table. We had a beer and a radler which were very reasonable compared to elsewhere in Croatia. Our table was ready about 10-15 mins. We opted for the fish platter for two which came with char or grilled vegetables - we went for grilled vegetables, and added braised potatoes. As part of the platter you got a large fillet of tuna, huge bowl of baby calamari, a whole sea bream & a whole sea bass. All the fish was incredibly fresh, cooked perfectly and the local oil mix provided was the perfect accompaniment. We had the caramel flan for desert which was lovely also. Our server Anna-Marie was amazing comfortably the best service we've had in Croatia, she was attentive, good fun and an expert on the food. The fish platter was 59 euro including 1 side which we thought was incredible value for the quality and the amount. Overall for the platter, 4 drinks and a desert it came to just less than 80 euro which was brilliant. At the end of the meal we even had a drink on the house of a cherry liqueur and a white spirit. Simply a must go to if in the area!

Good service and quality food, a good pitstop or a place to eat outside of the hustle and bustle of downtown Split a place to catch a lunch on the day you might be driving to Dubrovnik from there. Nothing particularly special, but nice with a view and local cuisine.
