Marriott's Imperial Palms Villas

I stayed one week with my wife and children, 6 in total for my (early) 65th birthday. The apartment was huge with 3 full bedrooms and a sleeper sofa in the living room. You can easily accommodate 9 people. The master bedroom had a large round whirlpool bad and separate shower room and toilet. The 2 other rooms shared a bathroom. Large kitchen and living room with all necessary furnitures for an extended syay. Nice balcony with round table accommodating 6 people. Nice view towards the lake and golf. Small pool but you could use the facilities from the other properties. Room service was every other day, that was fine. Walmart, Target and Publix closeby but you need a car. Five minutes drive to Premium Outlets Vineland and 10 minutes to Seaworld. Be aware that check-in and checkout is at the adjacent Royal Palms property. Checkout is at 10am but I was glad to receive an 11am checkout. All by all we had a great stay!

Overall arrive was great. Free shuttle service was awesome and quick. Outdoor stuff was great- pool areas, grilling, fire pits and sports courts were all used and appreciated. Clean and safe. Our three bedroom unit was okay. The general area looks like it was updated somewhat recently but the two bathrooms were quite dingy and definitely haven’t been remodeled in many years, perhaps more. There are outdated fixtures and grime and evidence of black mold in the shower area. Hopefully they invest in the bathrooms- it was the only disappointing part really. Would go to this resort again but would ask for high floor since we had noise that kept us up. And we would ask for the most update rooms if there are any.

Let me first say that we have stayed in quite a few Marriott timeshare properties over the years. We are staying for a week here at the Marriott Imperial Palms in a three bedroom unit which is spacious. However, I do feel that it could be cleaner. The baseboards are dusty and dirty, the carpets are fraying at the ends and walking around in white socks is not a good idea because they get very dirty. The resort is small and very quiet with no restaurants on site. Yes, there are restaurants a free shuttle away at the World Center Hotel but they are very expensive. In comparison, we just stayed two weeks at the Sheraton Vistana Resort which is one mile away and was wonderful, active, with restaurants and lots of activities. We would have stayed there this week but they do not have three bedroom units. The unit we stayed in was immaculately clean. I would not stay here again.

We’ve stayed at many timeshare properties in Orlando. Imperial Palms is top of our list to stay again. (Only DVC properties beat it.) We love the location very convenient to Disney, the space of the three bedroom villas, the screened in porch with nature view yet so close to multiple pools. The service was the best any time we called for towels, dish soap, anything they were fast and friendly. Grills clean and convenient. Basketball court was fun too.

Beautiful Resort. There was plenty of room for our family of 7. The only issue we had was with the "No Pet" policy! In the beginning of the week we saw someone walking 3 dogs into the building we were staying in. I spoke to the front desk and they said they would tell the manager. When we were leaving at the the end of the week again I saw the same people walking there dogs and making no effort to conceal it. There's no point in having policies if they're not enforced!

We had arranged a family reunion With 24 people at the hotel I booked a three bedroom villa for 9 days and later made a reservation for a two bedroom villa so I could accommodate some of my family that came only for a weekend. The rest of our family members made their own reservations. When we checked out the Marriott decided to credit the shorter stay for points even though it was booked after the nine days stay which I paid in advance. What I didn’t understand is that the management had no issue ignoring the dates and rewarding my loyalty by at least crediting the nine days which were where I personally stayed. I have been a member for a while and I was so disappointed that they didn’t even take their time to credit the longer and earlier booking. I am sure they may not find my contribution to their bottom line worthwhile but I will certainly evaluate my loyalty to a brand that does not care if they shortchange me as a customer.
