We stayed here back in July 2024 and I've been meaning to write a review for months. It's rare that I would bother after all this time, but we really loved staying here so felt compelled to share our thoughts. The grounds are lovely and the parking secure (good for classic cars!). Quiet setting, lovely rooms full of character, engaging hosts. The food is what makes this place particularly special - home made food, local produce & super tasty. The local cidres and calvados are also worth sampling. We look forward to returning some day.

For my group of 7 people, it was a pleasant surprise. The rooms are very comfortable and very clean. Jean-Francoise is very friendly and his family welcomed us very well. Dinner was a special treat, everything was delicious and designed to please the group. The breakfast was very good. It is definitely worth staying here and having an incredible night.

Have just returned from a wonderful few days at Domaine Des Thomins. Jean Francois and Renee’s hospitality is second to none. Nothing was too much trouble, lots of delicious homemade locally sourced food. The guest house was set in truly beautiful surroundings. Will return in a heart beat when next in the area.

A truly wonderful experience with the perfect fun loving host Jean Francois and excellent chef ReneeA superb 7 course dinner with local produce.The breakfast was the best we have had in France with baked apples egg custard and 5 hour baked rice pudding a local speciality.Lovely breads and croissants too. Antique furniture as well in the dining room and bedrooms.Immaculate grounds with topiary. If you are a foodie come here!

The property looks magnificent and the interior has many original features dating back to 1931, when the family house was built. What makes a night's stay so special is the enthusiasm and kindness of the host, Jean-Francois. His wife Renee is a wonderful cook preparing regional food from local suppliers. We had a wonderful dinner with fellow travellers. Breakfast also had a very Normandy feel.

Jean-François was an outstanding host. If you can, please stay for dinner as it was the highlight of our stay. I just loved this place so much, it was a one night stop before we carried on to Bordeaux, but now it made me want to go again!

Wonderful place to stay. Beautifully restored to all its 1930s splendour by Jean-Francois. The interior is like travelling back in time. The host is the perfect definition of genial - kind, courteous and generous. The food is wonderful. I cannot recommend this beautiful retreat too much. Wish we had booked for longer!

Wow! what a fantastic place. Just don’t know where to start. Jean-François was an amazing host. The eight course meal was absolutely delicious. The bedrooms were very spacious with very comfy beds. If possible, book the room with the balcony. It has stunning views over the beautiful garden. Would 100% recommend this guest house to anybody.

Excellent communication from the moment of booking. Jean-Francois is the most wonderful, welcoming host. The house is beautiful, full of lovely period furniture and we were treated to Edith Piaf and Jacques Brel played on an antique gramophone. Super comfy beds and great bathrooms. We booked the table d’hôtes in advance and it was a delicious, multi course Normandy dinner. Breakfast also delicious, with more Normandy specialties and fab home made jams. Highly recommend and will hopefully return.
