Marina Country

We had a 4 night stay here with the mother and sister in law. It was still early/pre-season, so was it was quiet as there was no real entertainment on apart from a guitarist/singer who was outside near the bar area of an evening and when not performing would play similar backing tracks. There were only a few younger children staying at the time and there wasn't really much at this hotel for them to do apart from the pool and a play park shared with the larger hotel a few hundred metres away. It was popular with other Europeans (French and Germans predominantly) with a large group of women there for a health conference/cycling holiday. Lots of sun beds around the pool which was also a fair size and you could get beach towels from reception. A short walk to the beach where you could use the loungers and get soft drinks as part of the all inclusive package. The walk in to the nearby town was flat and could be done in 30 minutes at a leisurely pace. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, Vanessa the hotel manager came over to our group on our first day to introduce herself and assure us that should we have any questions/issues then she was available. The room was clean, well equipped, with a very large double bed, a good amount of storage with a free to use safe in part of the wardrobe. The dining area was a good size with the option to be seated inside or out (once allocated your table, you kept it for the duration of your stay). The only bar area was outside, which at this time was still on the cool side in the evenings with the risk of insect bites and a lot of the Europeans tended to smoke which was off putting for us given how long the smoking ban has been in place in UK pubs/clubs/bars. Food choice was fairly good, with lots of fish options although while there was a menu displayed, it would have been better if each dish had been labelled to ease identification rather than guessing, especially if someone is vegan/vegetarian. Both the bar area and restaurant had red/white wine on tap as well as Birra Moretti. Our last night was on a Saturday and we could hear some form of celebratory noise/music which we believe was linked to the neighbouring hotel as there had been a large wedding party taking place earlier in the day.

What a wonderful week! Such a tranquil spot, perfect for a relaxing week away! Food and drink offer was amazing for all inclusive with an extensive range of drinks and so many options for meals, including freshly cooked steaks, chicken or fish. Grounds of the hotel were immaculate and staff worked hard to keep everything spotless. Room was lovely with a large balcony. Access to a lovely beach less was around a 5 minute stroll and a 30 minute walk took you into the local town of Orosei (head to Centro Storico), with a range of shops, bars and restaurants.

We had a fantastic 10 days at the Sentido Orosei. Food was really good with a station offering freshly cooked chicken, fish and beef every day, breakfast lovely, fresh fruit, pastries, yogurt and eggs, bacon etc. Had a spacious room with large balcony overlooking the pool, this was cleaned every day with fresh towels. Cannot say enough good things about the staff, happy to help with anything you needed. Would love to return

This is a great hotel and the staff do their utmost to help you if you have any needs. The food is fantastic, served with artistry and care. If you just want something simple you can have salads, pizza, grilled chicken, steak or fish etc. The gardens are beautiful and quite extensive. The rooms are visited by the housekeeping team every day. Before we went we wondered what the sea swimming would be like. In fact we were able to swim every day - but the lifeguard blows a whistle if they think there is a need for people to come in. It is worth checking the sign explaining the flags on the beach club wall because one red flag does not mean you cannot swim. However the sand is loose and gritty and slopes down into the sea quite quickly so it is a beach where children should be watched carefully. Between the hotel garden and the beach there is a small river so you can imagine there are mosquitoes here. In the rooms there are plug-in mosquito killers so there is no need to bring these. Outside in the evening you will need mosquito repellant. We enjoyed the selection of drinks available and the night-time entertainment. Our stay was most enjoyable and thank you to everyone at the hotel.

My husband and I booked seven days at the Sentido Orosei Beach from 08.09.24. We were delighted by the hotel which is spotlessly clean. Our room was spacious with all facilities . Housekeepers changed our towels mostly daily and our bed twice. Dining is large with tables indoors and outdoors. Authentic Sardinian cuisine so yes you will not get a toaster , english ausages and beans as mentioned in one of the reviews . Instead, you will have multiple choices including charcuterie, cheeses, yogurts, fruits, cakes , croissants and hot breakfast including chorizo, beans, omelette, fried eggs to name a few. Coffee is really good including fruits juices. Lunches are also varied from salads and hot meals including fish, meat , pasta, pizza and vegetables. Desserts and ice cream available at lunch and in the evening. Dinner has multiples choices of hot and cold drinks. The service was amazing . If you expect english food, you will struggle but Italian food was amazing . Large pool with no MUSIC which was extremely relaxing and yes it was colder after the wind started to blow but certainly not freezing ! I love the fact, we did not have to fight for sun loungers which were plentiful. The beach is very close to the hotel and very nice. Our evenings were spent at the terrace , listening to an amazing Italian singer . The town of Orosei is small but with plenty of amazing little shops . We brought back some lovely italian biscuits , pasta and olive oil. In a nutshell, if you are looking for British lifestyle at the Sentido Orosei Beach, you may be slightly disappointed but if want to experience a bit of Italy, it your place ! I would definitely recommend.

Not sure where Dan Kelly stayed, but it was definitely not our hotel..... Food was luke warm, no sausages or beans in the morning. Plus no toaster.... Never stayed in a hotel abroad with no toaster. The entertainment was dire, same bloke every night on the piano. Don't get me wrong he was goodish, but after a week in was getting very boring. You need a winter wet suit for the pool, the sea was warmer. Staff were very helpful and friendly, and to top it off was bitten to death by mosquitos which can't be helped. Definitely shall not be returning, please look at all the reviews first before booking I've got a feeling some of these reviews are false. If you like a quiet holiday with nowhere to really walk to and to chill this is for you. Don't bother going on the train into town, it's like a shanty town nothing there. No nice restaurants just basically the same food but probably hot.....wife booked it on all the good reviews, and didn't look at none of the true poor reviews.
