Cappadocia Splendid Cave Hotel

We went there as a group of friends for two nights... Had a lovely time in a beautiful place... Local food tasty cooked by homely people...clean rooms... The hotel has rooms... Each one different from another... Across multiple levels The people running the place were friendly, helpful and went out of the way to support us..

I’m a relatively experienced solo female traveler, and this hotel was probably my favorite travel experience yet! This was my first trip to Turkey, so I was unsure exactly what to expect, but the staff at Splendid Cave made every aspect of my stay amazing. I can’t say enough! First, I was greeted by my name and a welcoming smile before I even got through the gate. Then, I was pleasantly surprised to find my room had been upgraded to a jacuzzi room without my asking. The aesthetics of the hotel are beautiful inside and out- and the bright colors used through traditional decor set against the monochrome cave landscape make for both beautiful picture opportunities as well as a cheerful and immersive atmosphere - an authentic stay at a boutique venue, for sure. The on-site restaurant is convenient and 100% accommodating to guests’ mealtime schedules, and the kitchen and reception staff are equally jovial and kind - always a smile- always happy to please. The hotel is set in a really unique place- it’s built into to cliff-sides of a steep valley which gives the authentic cave-room stays that guests are looking for in Cappadocia, but, as an added uniqueness, it sits face-to-face with a cliff of unmodified traditional cave dwellings. It’s incredibly awesome to look out into the valley and find yourself steeped in the history of Cappadocia. I’m the evening it’s quiet and relaxing. The trial below the hotel is easily accessible and offers a 8km walk in either direction that leads guests through an off-the-beaten-path opportunity to explore the landscape on their own, if they wish. I walked several km myself, taking time to climb on and interact with the ancient cliffs and caves along the way. During my stay, I scheduled a massage with Ismail- the experience was so relaxing I ended up booking a second one the day before my long travels home. Definitely recommend. If you’re looking for a place to feel completely worry-free, relaxed, rejuvenated, and authentically wrapped in a cave hotel experience - you can’t beat Splendid Cave. I will absolutely be returning to what is now one of my very favorite places!
