Hotel Grien

We had a perfect time at the hotel. Everything is at the highest level - service, hosts, cleanliness, organization. The food is delicious. The hosts and staff are at your service for everything you need. The shuttle service is impressive. We didn't miss anything, we got more than we expected. The hotel is highly recommended. We will definitely be back.

Very friendly and hardworking family Avezany. We have been coming to this hotel for 18 years with the whole big family. Beautiful view from the window and terrace, delicious and high-quality food marked by Michelin experts, cleanliness and comfort in the room, good SPA, friendly and welcoming staff. I really want to come in the summer and admire this beauty. The feeling that you are not in a hotel but visiting the Avezany family. Thank you. We will definitely plan our next trip to you.

I went to the Dolomites with my family; we live in different parts of the world and the Dolomites, more specifically the Hotel Grien was out middle of the world meeting point. We spent Christmas and were graced by two wonderful dinner experiences for the Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. They were so accomodating as my yourger brother's family joined us. The food is spectacular; the wine is superb and Rainier is exceptional in recommending the wine! The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the staff very welcoming and you feel like you are part of the family. I had stayed at the Grien in 2011 and never forgot their hospitality so I wanted to come back. We will be back!!!! Grien Hotel is our favorite family owned getaway hotel in Italy. The kids have access to skiing & bus service daily, excellent multi course meals every evening, along with an excellent wine list, not to mention the cheese tasting, but my absolute favorite is the spa with inside swimming pool, steam rooms, saunas & relaxing lounge area where I can hide from my kids. I always come back feeling refreshed & relaxed. Monica & Rainer are the most warm and welcoming hosts & we always feel like we’re visiting old friends when we go back. I truly can’t say enough good things about Grein- & also the fabulous staff who cater to our every whim. Magical✨

Our week's stay at the family run Hotel Grien was wonderful. Each day we set off for the walks which Rainer had advised upon, carrying our picnics which the chef had made and using the hotel shuttle bus to take us to and from the lifts. The expansive breakfasts were varied and top quality. And we came back to a gourmet dinner each evening. Lovely light-filled rooms, super comfortable beds and pool, gym, sauna and steam room also laid on. All our needs were catered for. Very highly recommended.

This place is a MUST stay. If you are going to the Dolomites, this hotel is the only place you should stay. We booked Room 102---and the views are SO stunning that I didn't want to leave the room! However, the rest of the hotel is worth exploring! The 3 levels of spa that are available to use after a long day of hiking, was a splendid retreat. The half board is worth the extra money for the fine dining, food and service. Olga was a fantastic server and we looked forward to seeing her at breakfast and dinner. Every staff member would bend over backwards to make sure our stay was at a 5 star level. For a homemade treat, have Rainer make you a Ginger drink. Ohhh...I'm still dreaming of that drink! So delish! The shuttle service into town was super fast. Even when we called to be picked up from town, the driver was to us within 5 minutes of the call! You can hike directly from the hotel, and take the free bus pass along to hike as long as you want and take the bus back to town. So convienient! Prior to our arrival the staff was quick with responses and answered every question with patience. We will be dreaming of returning to Hotel Grien and hope to return as soon as we can!
