I stayed at the Dormy Inn in Osaka for just one night, and for only $52, it was an absolute gem! This budget-friendly hotel exceeded all expectations, offering so many thoughtful amenities that it felt like a luxury stay. The highlights included free ramen and ice cream at night—a unique and delightful touch—and the provision of pajamas and slippers for added comfort. The free washer and inexpensive dryer (just 100 yen for 20 minutes) were incredibly convenient, especially for travelers packing light. The public hot bath was another standout feature, providing a relaxing way to unwind after a long day of exploring. The room itself was fantastic. The bed was super comfortable, and the blackout blinds ensured a perfect night’s sleep. I also loved that the bed was accessible from three sides—a rare design in Japan that made the room feel surprisingly spacious. One particularly convenient feature was the self-check-in kiosk, which made the check-in and check-out process quick and easy, especially for international visitors who may not speak Japanese. Additionally, the 11 a.m. checkout time is relatively late for Japan, giving guests a more relaxed start to their day. Location-wise, the hotel is about a 6-minute walk to the subway and a 20-30 minute stroll to Osaka Castle. While there aren’t many activities immediately nearby, the hotel’s convenience and outstanding amenities more than compensate for this. For a budget-friendly option, Dormy Inn checks all the boxes and then some. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Osaka. Truly a perfect stay!

My partner and I stayed at Dormy Inn Osaka Tanimachi Natural Hot Spring, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience—highly recommended for couples! First of all, the location is excellent. It’s just a short walk from Tanimachi 4-chome Station, making it easy to get to places like Shinsaibashi and Umeda. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, perfect for a relaxing stay. The room wasn’t huge, but it was very clean and well-designed, with a comfortable bed. The highlight of our stay was definitely the natural hot spring inside the hotel. After a long day of walking around Osaka, soaking in the onsen together was the perfect way to unwind—it felt truly healing. One special touch we loved was the complimentary late-night ramen (Yonaki Soba). It was light, delicious, and so comforting to enjoy before bed. The hotel also offers free laundry and drying facilities, which is a big plus for longer trips. Overall, Dormy Inn offers incredible value, warm hospitality, and thoughtful amenities. It made our trip even more enjoyable, and we’d definitely choose to stay here again as a couple!

Recommended. Nice and friendly staff, nearby metro, room size soso but enough clean and tidy. Onsen is nice here as well.

Around 5 mins by walk from Tanimachi 4-chome Station to hotel, quite convenient. The Onsen in hotel is pretty nice, also staffs are helpful. The room is a bit smaller than expectation.

Location is convenient and within 5 mins' walk to the tube. Warm services to the guest with unexpected free-noodles after 21:30. The hotel lobby with relaxing area for the guests to have a chilled moment.

I am really satisfied with the facilities that hotel provided. It is a new hotel and clean and peaceful. It. I strongly recommend this hotel to you.

Very nice and hot spring is good with the complmenty late night cook to serve noodles.  Only if there is a gym room for whoever couldn’t have hot spring but need some exercise

Nice hot spring and delicious ramen! A little far from the Osaka centre but is acceptable. Close to underground stations and surrounded with restaurants! 4/5!

Free night snack plus natrual hot spring, what can I expected more? Whole things are excellent, we stayed for 4 nights but I don't know what we have to pay 1500 yen to clean up the room. We didn't request the clean up for everyday. But after the 2nd night, we want to ask the front desk to clean up the room, they need 1500 yen for this. I was weird, what if I stayed for a week? I don't have any clean up? Or should I make 2 booking to change the room? I don't understand. Ii gave all 5 stars except this point so I will marked as 4 stars on services. Anyway, staffs are pretty nice and helpful.

Love this hotel with free onsen and very good japanese style breakfast

This is my second stay at this hotel. It is absolutely awesome. The price is reasonable for an onsen hotel. It is clean. The location is good, near to Osaka Castle and had wonderful restaurants around the area. The nearest subway station is less than 10 mins away. And Namba and Umeda are both about 3-4 subway stops away. The staff are nice and friendly.

Good location and same wonderful facilities, add-on benefits (ice cream, night ramen etc.) as other dormy inn hotels. It appeared to be crowded sometimes in hot spring and elevator. However, the biggest disappointment of this stay was the service for breakfast. The food is amazing and delicious for sure, but please make sure that you let customer know what exactly the ‘closing time’ means. Is it the closing time for food supply or customers must leave immediately after the closing time even if they haven’t finished their food yet. For other dormy inn hotels or any hotels I have ever lived on this planet, it means the first, but it seems for your hotel, it means the second. I was interrupted multiple times by your staffs and asked to leave during my breakfast without knowing the real meaning of your so called ‘closing time’. Good food but worst breakfast experience ever in a hotel.
