This hotel has one of the worst service standards throughout my trip. We visited 5 cities stayed in 5 hotels....and regardless of how busy the hotel or how packed their schedule, the staff in the other 4 hotels has always tried to accommodate n present their Japanese hospitality standards
But this hotel is really horrendous....especially one of the male staff. Cold face, anti-tourist and on our checkout day, only allow us to leave 1 luggage each at the hotel after we checkout. We hv a total of 14 luggage amongst 7 persons; and if we were to do so, we have to drag 1 luggage each to walk around town until we leave for the airport at 5pm.
He was totally nonchalant about our plea and just bluntly tell us to do as he "instructed". This is obnoxious, to say the least for a member of the hospitality industry. This male staff to be removed from his position to maintain the reputation of the hotel & Japan.
Another young lady, by the name of Oi, was very professional & nice to overruled the male staff decision and accommodated us. Pleasant smile & good service attitude. She deserves a promotion. The only reason I gave 2/5 for service is solely because of her. Without her, I'll give 0/5
