Cozy Inn Otaru recensioner

Cozy Inn is superb, can easily be reached by bus or by car. Plenty of parking spaces. Room is big and clean. Close to Aeon and Daiso. Walkable to the canal if you are not driving. Check in uses machine and strictly only after 3pm, so do not come early. Overall, I highly recommend!

We had problems checking-in via their kiosk at the lobby & we had to manually checked-in with their staff. The guest before us also had the same issue with the kiosk. On manual check-in over the counter: Trip.com booking was for: 2 adult + 1 junior child. As per Trip booking, we are to pay Yen2500 at front desk for our child. But the staff declined & argues with us the additional charge is around Yen2900. Hence the argument began! Finally the staff gave in & waived off the additional fee, on the condition that our child sleeps with us on our bed. We are not allowed to manually open up the spare bed in the room, otherwise we will be charged upon check-out. We were fine with that & finally got our keys. On entering our room, it was in a total mess. Uncleared. The cleaners forgot / haven’t done their job yet. So back we went to the lobby to request for a replacement room. Got our keys to a new unit & finally checked-in. In our room, there’s an A4 memo stuck to the wall saying the additional cost of a child is indeed Yen2500, as per Trip.com, & not as per what the front desk mentions of Yen2900. Hence, overall, our dissatisfaction towards this hotel front desk service of inconsistencies. Location wise, we have a rental car, so it’s not an issue. For travellers who don’t have a car, it’s not that convenient. The nearest mart is about 2mins drive away, so prolly 15mins walk (not that near).

Location abit far from the town but if you are driving than not much of an issue. Limited facilities provided however the car park is free of charge.

This hotel was amazing. Super clean and cozy. The room was so big and spacious. Can sleep up to 5 people. Just that the hotel has no elevator, only 2 floors. But still never disappoints me. Highly recommended!!!!!

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in in the entire Hokkaido. Very spacious, clean and modern. The walking distance is a little far from Otaru canal but we drove so it was not an issue for us. Will definitely stay there again if we visit Otaru.

Spacious & nice place to stay.

Good location for those coming with a car, ample free parking provided. Near to Maxvalu, Daiso and a drugstore, Otaru museum and train related stuff and also fish market(pretty cute tho), just beside a Pakistan halal restaurant. Not so far from Otaru Canal, can walk for those counting their steps everyday.

Very nice place to stay and room size is large by Japanese standard. If you drive, it is a good place to stay otherwise it can be a long walk to the touristy areas
