I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights as part of an organised tour. The communal areas are more of what you'd expect in a hostel, but the rooms were definitely more like a hotel. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and most of them spoke good English. The wifi was pretty good in all areas. The communal areas were lovely, there was a courtyard in the middle and some enclosed gardens. It felt like a haven in the middle of the city. My room was a good size, there was an entrance way almost like a foyer, with the bedroom and bathroom coming off that. The bed was large and comfortable with lots of layers as it does get cold in Otavalo at night. I don't think the hotel had central heating, but there was a portable heater in my room. The bathroom was ok, the door was in an awkward position but it was workable. There was a shower but no bath tub, the hot water was mostly ok. Breakfast was simple but sufficient. There was tea and coffee, nice bread rolls with butter and jam, juice, and they asked you how you wanted your eggs (you could have fruit if you didn't want eggs). I got laundry done during my stay, it was cheap and done well. Overall a great stay, it's definitely not luxurious but very quaint and charming, has a good location in the city centre but still manages to be very quiet at night.
