Mount Etjo Safari Lodge

We, 2 adults and 2 teenagers, stayed in the Villa of the lodge for 2 nights mid of April with a Hippo swimming in the lake in front of the Villa. Breathtaking view on Mt. Etjo table mountain with flashes from a thunderstorm in the night. Great service and very friendly people everywhere. Tasty food and spectacular game drives with lots of animals around. We can highly recommend.

Nice lodge bye the NP. When we arrived no one cared to check us in. The staff looks like they are forced to work, so you have to dig out any kind of information from them. We booked an afternoon gamedrive, which despite bad weather ended very well seeing male lions, and rhinos. The buffet dinner was not good. When you look at the lodge and how classy it is, then you expect more than that in a dark room with smoke. We went for a rhino tacking on foot and had to go early in the morning. here we saw both grey and back rhino! For the price it's well worth to do, as it's cheaper than other places like Palmwag. The breakfast brought by the guide was horrible and we didn't ate anything of it. So to sum it ups, if you're out for wildlife photography, then this lodge it for you! But the bad food draws it down for us.

Visited this time(after 2019) with my 88 year old former boss to let hin have an impression of a good lodge and a nice safari experience. It was a full sucess, the romm as confortable and spcious for a godd price, the food delicius as ever by the same chef as 2019, beautifully kept meadow, large pool. The safari contained the rhino trekking in the morning, congrats to the guide who showed us 5 rhinos after some walk.The eveneing game drive included elefants, springbock, fox, Zebras, giraffs. rhinos, kudu and antelope and a lonely Hippo in the large lake. Thnaks to much rain this year the grass was high and all was sooo green. May Mount Etjo SafarinLodge continue to lure and amuse us tourists for the next hundred years. If my budget will aoow I wiil aleays come back. Günther of Austria

Beautifully situated lodge in a very large and species-rich private reserve. Excellent service, friendly staff and great support with any problems that may arise, such as getting stuck on access roads during the rainy season (experienced first hand)!

Mount Edjo Lodge is an impressive, spacious, and well-maintained lodge with a beautiful garden and charming decor. Situated by a pond, the surrounding nature offers ample opportunities to spot wildlife right from the lodge. I enjoyed a private game drive in the morning and joined a group safari in the evening, including a unique experience feeding lions at night. The one-on-one rhino tracking was an absolute must-do. We saw a variety of animals: lions, rhinos, hippos, giraffes, zebras, and more. Highly recommended!

It's a quick trip from the City of Windhoek. On arrival we saw hippo, impala, Waterbuck, springbok, giraffe, pelicans, flamingos. The birds and animals live comfortable at the dam in front of your lodge. This gives you a full daylight view from sunrise to sunset. A 3 hour game drive offers Rhino, Elephant and a great selection of buck plus giraffe. A night drive to an enclosure gives you an opportunity of lions feeding within meters !! We counted over 30 species of birds ( to our knowledge). Besides the very cooling stone rooms, beautiful pool and superb cuisine,your trip to Mount Edjo will be your most memorable one in Namibia.
