My 12 years old daugther and I stayed at Die Fonteine for 2 nights in Jan 2025. Everything was very nice. Aircon was perfect ( you need it in Oudtshoorn. ) The beds were nice and firm. We had a twin room. There was even some fruit put out and you could go get a beer or cooldrink in the breakfast area and sign for it. Nice when you get back to the room. Beautifully kept garden and birds and chickens around. A farm dam was turned into a great pool. I think it is everything you need. The host Anzue is very good at what she does and always ready to help. The spot is perfectly positioned to do all toursit activities in the are. We will be back for sure !

A fantastic getaway, near enough to Outshoorn and local attractions to be accessible but also nestled in the quiet countryside for a proper getaway. Anzue and her team made us completely at home from the start with her warm and generous hospitality. As nature lovers, the garden planting and view of the surrounding area were fantastic, and a real highlight was getting to watch the bird life that enjoys the aviaries in the grounds and also nests in the trees. Thanks for a lovely stay!

We had the nicest stay at Die Fonteine. Our host was so friendly and helpful. The room was neat and clean and had everything we needed. The garden and animals were looked after with so much love and care. We will definitely visit the property in the near future again. If you love peace and quiet and nature - this is the place to be.

It's always a pleasure to stay at Die Fonteine on our annual pilgrimage to run Meiringspoort. We so appreciate the personal touch and just love the quiet country air out at Schoemanshoek. See you next year!

A very comfortable stay in this rural property. The only slightly off-putting thing for us - and this is a personal issue - were the little birds kept in cages outside. This is obviously a hobby/past-time for the owners but we just wanted to release them all!!

We had an amazing one-night stay and Anzue is the hostess with the mostest! The bedding was beyond comfortable, despite the cold weather we were more than warm enough, we were able to have a great braai under the stars and the sheep at the guesthouse really provided you with that farm feel. Would recommend for large groups OR a break away from city life.
