looking for somewhere close to the Ferry Port for a short 3 day break before moving on here with my Cousin and chose this one as it has it's own car park, A real old charm Villa and family run, Start with the negatives, No lift as it's an old building and access up a flight of steps and no restaurant, Now the positive's, A real old charm Villa that took a battering during the D Day landings and full of charm, A secure car park and seating in the garden, We were met by a young man called i think A"el, who spoke very good English and booked us in with all the info needed, they will ask you what pastries you will want for breakfast as they are baked local daily, it stop's waste, Stairs up to the room, the room was one of the smaller one's but still a decent size, all the usual bathroom gels and soaps, hairdryer and a shower over bath, no issues there, the mattress was a firm and felt like a memory foam type, just my type, remote tv, no breakfast tray but can be hired for a small charge, Breakfast was Continental style buffet and lovely, if you require a mug for tea they have them instead of a cup, pastries brought to your table, the jams, honey and meats are all locally produced, cereals, boiled eggs as you like them, no fried, Me'linda and Julien are always around if you need info and seem to be updating the Hotel in the old charm as it is, there is a very good info pack in the rooms with local restaurants they seem to have checked out for food quality and service, We will return to this Hotel at some date next year, Alan

Wonderful modernised oldy worldly French hotel. Very close to ferry port. Situated on the front with lovely views at the front and nice views at the rear. On site secure parking with a garden setting at the rear. Very helpful and friendly staff. Excellent continental breakfast. Rooms and amenities first class. Lots of local history as this was the site of the Sword Beach landings on D Day. Ouistreham a nice town with good bars and restaurants. Highly recommend and would return soon hopefully.

This hotel was so ideally situated to visit the Normandy beaches. We had a room with really tall windows that actually opened and overlooked the Ocean. The room was recently remodelled and super clean. The hotel managers/owners were really helpful and gave great suggestions on how to organize our day trips. The main street of the sweet town was just 2 blocks away and we were able to rent bikes to enjoy the bike/walking path that run along the shores from town to town. Oh, and the hotel breakfast and cocktail bar was great!

I was wrongly accused of smoking in their room and fined 200 Euros. I'd thrown away an old packet of cigarettes in their bin, my clothes/bag smelt of cigarettes (I was taking the ferry back the next day) and I probably carried the odour of smoke in to the hotel after smoking outside. They claimed that there were cigarette butts on the window-sill but I didn't open the windows as it was a cold night, which probably made the room smell worse, so I don't know. But I would swear in court that I never smoked in their hotel, or any hotel since smoking was outlawed, and I was very insulted to be consistently and insistently accused of doing something I didn't do. I paid the fine as the room probably did smell for the reasons given previously, and I can see how they wrongly came to their conclusion, but they wouldn't listen to my explanation, insisting they were right. So be warned if you stay here and you are a smoker.

Rustic charm and character in this period hotel. There is secure on-site parking for motorbikes and cars. Gates are locked at 8pm. However you do need to reserve a space and a fee is charged. Bar available, however it closes at 8pm and is expensive. A pint of draught Desperados was €9.90. Friendly and welcoming reception staff. Coded access to hotel after 8pm. Extremely convenient for ferry crossing - 5 minute drive. Shops, bars and restaurants a 5 min walk. 5 minute walk to the beach. Rooms comfortable.

My family and I stayed at Villa Andry for two nights while doing Normandy sightseeing. There is WWII history all over the coastline, and we all agreed this hotel was an excellent home base. It's a beautiful old estate turned into a hotel, which has been very nicely updated. Our room had big windows that opened to views of Sword Beach. The beach is maybe a 3 minute walk away! The proprietors are very helpful and generous and made us feel at home during our stay. They speak good English and had good recommendations for our itinerary for sightseeing. The breakfast in the morning was tasty, and they had fresh bread and croissants - I also love that they use products local to the Normandy region (We were able to purchase some of these regional products at the hotel's front desk, including delicious brut cider). There is a bar that is open for some time in the evening, ask to order a Normandie Mojito! We also enjoyed hanging out in the hotel garden during the evenings, they have lots of tables and chairs set out for hanging out or reading or whatever. Definitely recommend.

Stayed here for 2 nights, 10 minutes from the ferry. Ideally placed for Ouisterham. Lenty restaurants near by. Quiet, clean rooms and good breakfast. Easy access to Normandynlanding beaches, actually facing sword beach and next to military museum.

We have just stayed here for the first and last nights of our holiday in France and as always it was a pleasant stay. At the beginning of our trip the ferry was 2 hours late arriving so we arrived at the hotel very late. Once we were able to get into the car park and into the hotel we were given a very friendly welcome in spite of the hour. The rooms were comfortable and breakfast was good. On our return a week later we arrived at a much more convenient time and again were welcomed. This time we were catching an early ferry so didn't have breakfast. We were unlucky to have some noisy neighbours in a nearby room having loud conversations well into the night. We had reserved parking but some other visitors were rather selfish in parking badly making it difficult to park when we arrived late. Once again other customers at fault not the hotel. We are looking forward to staying again on our next trip to France
