Carolina Egg Gasthaus

We stayed recently at the Carolina Egg Guesthouse in Oxapampa. The price was very fair, with breakfast included, so to be frank, we didn't expect much. Situated right in town, less than 5 minutes from the bus station, the guest house is set in its own grounds, full of flowers and fruit trees. It has a very small pool, in a sun spot, so the water is not cold. The rooms were modest, but clean, with a TV, and a shower with hot water between certain hours. Outside the room was a communal fridge, kettle and microwave. Breakfast was really excellent, with fresh local products. People working in the restaurant were really kind. Our experience exceeded expectations in terms of price / value and we will go back I'm sure.

It was sometime around 15 or 20 years ago when my parents arrived here to enjoy their weeding anniversary, since then they were very keen on telling how wonderful their experience turned out to be. Now, 15 or 20 years later my wife and I arrived to Oxapampa and just couldn't avoid curiosity to find this out by ourselves. As soon as they opened the door we realised we had found paradise on earth. The place happens to be conveniently located at no more than 5 blocks from the principal plaza, 2 blocks from the terminal bus stop, in one of the main avenues and yet quiet, private and isolated enough from the rest of the world. The astonishingly set of flowers shown around the garden set with such a passion for perfection announces the comfort displayed in the cabin. We were given the bungalow 118, which is deep into the gardens and it brought us back into the pioneers time, so nicely and conveniently built, it just took our breath away. Something else, we were lucky to meet Carolina and Patty, their kindness, and their advice towards our visit made of our stay in Oxa lands the best experience we could possibly have. I have travelled the world, and I can tell this place is really one of a kind, worth visiting but further on,,, worth to know

Excelente experiencia, la ubicación es excelente, en una avenida principal pero al pasar la puerta pareciera que se está en medio del campo. El personal es muy amable y gentil, muy cuidado el entorno, la cabaña bien equipada, buena limpieza, el desayuno es agradable. Tuvieron la gentileza de ofrecerme una torta por mi cumpleaños. La sra. Carolina siempre está atenta a sus huéspedes, conversar con ella es muy interesante y conocedora de la historia de Oxapampa. Definitivamente regresaremos.
