Great place

I get that they tried to redo what was probably an old motel , however there were some misses for sure. The staff was friendly. I will say that. The rooms appear to be newly redone , but when you look , there are things that are not good. The bathroom was gross. It smelled. Mold on the ceiling and it was cracking and falling apart. The vent fan was filthy and behind the toilet was gross. The lighting. Is not good. Fluorescent lighting on the only mirror ( small mirror ) was horrible. There were no shelves in the showers , so shampoo had to be placed on the floor. This is not ok. There was only a soap dish. That is all. Very small vanity area and the room needed a long mirror. There was plenty of room for one. I would never pay more than I did for the night ( $89). Probably would not stay again

I am really having a hard time believing that the posted reviews are real. When I arrived I had a hard time opening the door. The maid was nearby and showed me how to put my foot on it to kick it open. The room was clean but very outdated. I was with a colleague and I had the inner bed. The internet was so weak I could not use my laptop my entire stay. My friend plugged her phone in the outlet by the bed. I used the lamp on the desk. We each found out the next morning the both outlets were loose and nothing charged. The bathroom outlet did not work either. I had to get an extension cord because we each only found one outlet that worked. When we returned on the second day neither of our keys worked and we had to go to the office to have them reset. We paid an exorbitant amount nearly because it was an event weekend on campus. When talking with others at our conference, we found most have much nicer rooms at a much lower price. I would not recommend this motel to anyone and I am surprised it is listed in the chamber of commerce brochure.

Needed one night before staying in pricey cabin at nearby State park. Been coming to Oxford for years and picked Butler Inn because of positive online reviews. Pleasantly surprised how nice this older motel is. Spotless, updated room and bath. Best value in Oxford.

My son is a senior at Miami and I only wish I had found this gem sooner. Friendly staff, vey clean, recently renovated, comfortable. We took my son back to school and decided to stay overnight. The Butler Inn had a room available at a great price. Very satisfied.

This is an amazing hotel! Honestly, besides it being far from Cincinnati itself, the drive isn’t that bad. It’s actually quite peaceful! The area, Oxford, is a very cute town. The hotel is quiet and clean! The staff was amazing, nice and caring! They definitely communicated well with me with everything! I would book here again!

Lovely motel in a lovely town. The rooms have been renovated and are very clean. The owners are so sweet (Bharesh and Leena). They were so welcoming and texted once we checked in to make sure everything was ok. They checked in throughout the weekend as well. The parking is so easy and the location is great. The rooms have mini refrigerators and microwaves which is a plus. I highly recommend the Butler Inn!

I would give it a 5/5 for customer service and check in. Received numerous texts during stay from front desk checking on my stay. I actually like the motel aspect of it, being able to park directly in front of room was great. While it is close to Miami, it’ far enough away that it’s not really walkable. The room itself was clean. It’s been updated with paint, furniture, and flooring. The mattresses in my room however were pretty bad. We also had a soft spot in the floor where the click flooring would unclick whenever you stepped on it. Also, some of the photos show white doors on the interior with updated showers and bathrooms. Mine didn’t look like that. Shower was an insert and sink was very small pedestal with nowhere to put toiletries and there were no hooks to hang towels. Door was old painted door that didn’t close all of the way. Maybe my room wasn’t completely renovated yet? Biggest issue was second night we came back to slight sulfur or sewer gas smell in the room. I’d say it was a good stay overall and would stay again in a pinch. If you don’t have the budget or dont want to spend on a hotel it’s a good option. I hope they can correct everything because this place could be great.

Overall, I was pleased with my decision to stay here. The place is conveniently located in Oxford. I would have stayed somewhere else in Oxford, but the town had many things going on and many hotels were full. The bathroom sink put out very little water; that would be my biggest drawback. All the other plumbing fixtures worked fine. Our room had a big step down from the room to the sidewalk area, and the door close was very snug and required effort. Wi-fi worked fine most of the time, except for a little while during my stay. May have been overloaded as it was late evening and the parking lot was full. All my staff interactions were very good.
