Really enjoyed our 5night stay. The manager and every staff member were so friendly, polite and attentive. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. I was apprehensive about being in a room at the front due to previous reviews re noise but it honestly wasn't a problem at all. The breakfast room is delightful and leads to a beautiful relaxing well kept garden with nice furniture. Choice of cooked breakfast served to you or continental breakfast if preferred. I would definitely recommend Pickwicks and look forward to visiting in the future. Trip Advisor says this hotel is 'pet friendly' this is incorrect as they do not accept pets

The property has the potential to be a lovely B&B but is generally dated and tired. On arrival we were shown to our room which was called a Superior Double, it wasn't superior. We were then offered another which was bigger. We had paid in advance and had to go to the hospital asap so we accepted it. There are no bathrooms available with a bath in. The shower was good. The bed was a king size and comfortable. The room is in need of repair and redecoration. The windows are single pane and one window pane had a crack across it which had been repaired with sellotape. The carpet is old and needs a deep clean or replacing. On arrival you are required to order breakfast the next day. It was barely warm. Sadly I like a hot breakfast.The cook told us that the food must be hot because it is kept on a "hot" plate until needed. After further explanation on day 2 (we didn't eat it) we were served a hot breakfast on day 3, so we were listened to. Parking was available. The staff were smiley and friendly but I wouldn't go there again, there are better rooms to be had elsewhere.
