Family House @ Pai

The staff was nice and the place around looked beautiful, but even though we arrived at 4:00 PM we waited for the room for half an hour and when we entered the cabin we saw that in the bathroom there was a gap between the ceiling (which is made of plastic, I think) and the wall and from there two lizards and a lot of ants entered the bathroom (the ants also entered the bedroom). The door of the bathroom doesn't close all the way, so the lizards and mosquitoes can enter the adjacent bedroom. The staff told us to wait until tomorrow to change rooms because everything was full (a small resort). We decided that we didn't want to stay and that we wanted the money back, no matter how much we talked and explained they wanted to charge us for the night we arrived even though we didn't sleep, we wasted time and money trying to get Booking and book a new hotel for that night. After an argument and even though the hotel refused to return the money, Booking refunded us all the money and the resott received payment for the night from Booking. We intentionally paid a relatively high price for Pai, in order to get a quality and unfortunately that's not what happened.

Nicely located by the river & right behind the main walking street in Pai. Pleasant and friendly staff at reception, lovely breakfasts and nice surroundings. Our cottage was pretty spacious and clean, good air con and wi-if. Little terrace with chairs & table outside was great as well. Basically everything you need and more, nothing to fault at all. Good value for your money, that’s for sure. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again in the future. Recommended!

Great location if you are looking for good food away from the busy and noisy Pai main road. As it is located on the river bank make sure you put on mosquito repellent . Food was great and served fast. The tom yam was particularly good. Credit cards accepted above 1000 bahts
