Carrington Guest House

Unbelievably nice couple Clive and Bernie are wonderful and cannot do enough for you it was an absolute pleasure to stay there and will be returning as soon as we can. The rooms are immaculate and the breakfast was fantastic. My wife and I would have to say it is the best experience and service we have ever had compared to any other guest house we have previously stayed in, I would recommend them to all you won’t be disappointed.

I stayed somewhere new to me in Paignton this year. I'm so glad that I chose The Carrington Guest House! I spent a week there from 7th June 2025. Bernie and Clive were the perfect hosts. Everything about The Carrington was spot on. They serve the best breakfast that I've ever had in all my years of visiting Torbay. The room was lovely, too. I wouldn't change a thing about it. That's why I booked for June 2026! Thanks Bernie and Clive for the best stay and for going above and beyond! Take care Glenn

My wife and I were very impressed with Berney and Clive from start to finish. They are excellent hosts. They made us feel very welcome and comfortable and are polite, warm and attentive hosts The BEST accommodation and hosts that we have ever encountered. ( we are : retired nurse and teacher) . The breakfast was delicious with LOADS of choice - fruit, yoghurt, cereals, coffee, tea, toast as well as the cooked breakfast ( beautifully cooked and served hot ).

5 star accommodation 5 star breakfast 5 star fried bread!!!!!! 5 star hosts Nothing more to say. Thank you again Clive and Bernie. Nothing is ever too much trouble. This lovely couple invented the phrase ‘going the extra mile’

Thank you Bernie & Clive for a wonderful, warm, and easy stay at your lovely guesthouse!! We stayed in July 2023. The room was the kind of spotless that is only achieved by regular deep cleaning. The beds are springy and comfy, the TV works, everything is crazy clean, the food is good (super accommodating if you want anything that isn't on the menu) but best of all Bernie, Clive and of course Snoopy the dog are all absolute genuine SWEETHEARTS. This is by far one of the most comfortable stays I've ever had anywhere and I travel a LOT. It's so clear they really care about what they do and they're absolutely excellent hosts, just lovely, friendly and kind. It's really hard to find any fault honestly. This is a very high bar in hospitality, and I can't believe they've only been doing it for 4 or so years!!! Thank you Carrington House from Shay & Phil!!

what a wonderful hotel immaculately clean Bernie and Clive are so welcoming and go above and beyond to make your break perfect breakfast excellent ,rooms excellent , we wouldnt go anywhere else in paignton now our first visit there and we will definately be going back xThank you Bernie and Clive your an inspiration to b@b owners excellent Rachel and Mike xx
