Book this guest house through a voucher we received for our Christmas present it was a nightmare trying to book in but not jo & martins fault, just the voucher we got there in the end & what a lovely welcome we got from the minute we walked through the door bedroom was nice clean, comfortable bed everything was there that you needed and more ( nice touhes) breakfast was continental tea / coffee cearels toast n fruit n yogurts jo was a lovely host thanks for a nice stay

Cherwood Guesthouse is a well located, spotlessly clean accommodation, our room and provisions were excellent and the accessories in the small ensuite shower room were well above expectation. The very high standard of all the facilities, breakfasts and service was obviously due to the professionalism of hosts Jo and Martin. We look forward to a future stay at Cherwood Guesthouse to further explore the Torbay area. . Francis and Christine

The Cherwood Guest House is a simply outstanding b&b. Jo and Martin are perfect hosts and nothing is too much trouble from the minute you arrive. They are super friendly and they do everything they can to make you feel welcome and comfortable. Our room was well appointed including plenty of tea and coffee. The decoration was sumptuous and the bed super comfy. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Location is close to bars, restaurants and the sea. Parking available very close by too. We really had a lovely time. Thank you.

we just had a few days at cherwood, again the room was perfect excellent tea and coffee making facilities, plenty of storage, comfortable bed bathroom lovely and clean with many extras, towels, flannels soaps etc. breakfast hot and delicious wide choice of hot and cold food and drinks. Jo and Martin were the perfect hosts from the second we arrived until we left! nothing was too much trouble for them, they made our stay extremely comfortable and happy can't wait to go back. 10/10 . We have stayed at the Cherwood on several occasions, Breakfasts are cooked to perfection, it is spotlessly clean and tidy, Jo and Martin are exceptional hosts hence why we have booked again later this summer thanks again both Tim and Dawn xx

We were there 1/3 May and had a fantastic time , the hosts Jo and Martin are brilliant , they have literally thought of everything you can possibly need for a break away from Cold water in the room to Dolce gusto machine with a choice of coffees , plenty of fluffy towels . The bed is super comfy as are the pillows . Location couldn’t be better , literally a 2 minute walk and you are on the lovely beach in Paignton. The breakfast was lovely , I opted for continental and my husband had full English which he confirms was superb . They are also full of information and tips on the local area should you need it . They made the whole break perfect . Highly recommend to anyone thinking of visiting this area of Devon.

What a great hotel. The rooms are lovely and clean and lots of added touches to the room which were great. Jo was amazing nothing too much trouble and Martin cooked the breakfast 5 stars to you it was great. We have stayed in Paignton a lot normally twice a year but this was the best ever.

This is a wonderful guest house, and Jo and Martin are such lovely people. Nothing is too much trouble. Nice touches with plenty of restocking of tea and coffee and also for families, plenty of things for the kids to do (and spare chargers are such as a nice touch). Had a continental and cooked breakfast, very nice. For me, I couldn't not score downwards even as a disabled guest, but those with poor mobility - will find this unsuitable as also even with the family room, the bathroom is on the small side... A recommendation would also be to get power shower heads, it would improve the pressure of the shower. But overall brilliant and highly recommended. Thank you.

What a wonderful surprise. This small gem was the best B&B stay we have experienced of all we have stayed in. From the moment we made our booking through to the end, communication was superb. We were arriving outside check-in and it was no trouble for them. The family room which was spacious, had everything we needed. Parking was easy to find and only a 5 minute walk away next to a pretty park; there is a space to unload luggage outside Cherwood if necessary. Location is perfect being only a skip from the beach and wonderful restaurants. Wish we could keep this little gem a secret.
