A true oasis, this hotel wows and soothes you from the moment you enter its gates due to its design and attention to details, starting from the gardens to the lobby, the magnificant rooms and all the way to the beautiful beach. Service is friendly but laid back as should be expected in this area of France but not the sharp service of a true 5-star Palace. Only downside is the overpriced dinner option onsite or the poor dining options in the surrounding areas. This was our second stay and we plan to return again which says it all...

Terrible hotel. Don’t stop here. They cannot offer you a place to have dinner at 9 pm. We stopped on a road trip and checked in at 7 pm and when we arrived for dinner at 9 pm they told us restaurant was full and they did not have any other reasonable options to have some food.

We stayed there for 2 nights and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Although the nightly rate is quite high (400 EUR/night), it actually makes sense since it includes free access to the front line chairs at the beach (which would usually go for about ~100 EUR a half-day for two in southern France). The beach and restaurant serve tasty food. The room we were in was modern and well thought-out directly looking towards the sea. We noticed that there was a clear attention to detail by staff members. Roadside service was also great with an impeccable valet service. My only comment is that the food/drinks prices at the beach seemed a bit excessive (for example 10 euros for a small 'esquimeau' ice cream felt a bit outrageous). I would have preferred if there was a required minimum spending, rather than excessive prices (especially for this region).

EXCEPTIONNEL !!! NE CHANGEZ RIEN !!! Endroit hors du temps ... ambiance douce et accueillante, personnel aux petits soins, très belle chambre claire et spacieuse, donnant sur mer. Excellent dîner et excellent petit-déjeuner. Luxe, calme et volupté...

After hard week will have a break with wife and daughter…Simple, good staff, good options, swimming pool near sea side, beach bar and good restaurant with local products as wine, fruits, fishes, olive oil amazing with all 5 stars hôtel but time to get one for PP restaurant. Wine was real from Pic St Loup at back viewers from hotel. Unfortunately Syrah and Mourvèdre must be cool served to give all sources fragrances and smells of garrigue and pink fruits, but on tong freshness killed the melting pot of such wine, fine cooking and staff made pizza for kid and mother without problem, squid’s salad was fine with Espelette pepper, grill molds were so simple taste of salted butter and parsley fresh garlic sauce, desert was at beach with windy and sand crunchy with local coconut local ice maker, nice red fruits with vanilla chantilly and hot chocolate so tasty with acid of strawberries and fine raspberry only 60 boxes to lay each personnes front ones matresses bit expensive out of season time, but towels and Evian bottle included…anyway nice multi langages staff with frenchy southern hit seems serious but nonchalance amazing behaviors. Don’t change but in high summer time ppl could be stress with all locals on beach from all dangerous area’s from Montpellier occupated places with non real frenchies but ppl swim just on the other side of Mediterranean places with drugged dealers and many thieves from friends experience from last year.

Everything was first rate. Check in, bell service, room service, dinner, drinks, checkout with bell assistance again. At my request they had a car waiting at 0430 to take us to the airport for an early flight. Even that was excellent. We will return

Our second great stay at this hidden gem of a hotel, we had a great three nights here. The hotel was full but we had no problem getting beds on the private beach or around the pool area, The service is amazing, we had one grumpy waitress at dinner on Monday night but apart from that everyone was super helpful. We ate twice in the restaurant, first on Saturday when the food was great as I expected, however on the Monday (maybe chefs day off) the food was not the same level, my wife ordered Lilly Wang ribs, it turned up as a slab of 5 ribs covered in fat no flavor and tough, when I cook ribs they fall off the bone, honestly think these were microwaved! After some time grumpy waitress came over and took them away, by the time a different course arrived all the other food was gone so not the dinner you expect for this sort of price. Having said that the rooms are amazing, setting is awesome and generally makes you feel great to be there.

Very nice, in front of a huge and very clean beach. Staff is so wonderful, always with a smile and very caring. After asking for a even more calm room and not close to the elevator, a change was realized asap. Everything is perfectly clean, new and stylish. Worth expending… xxx P.S. I had a Juinior Suite Lux with ocean view

The hoteliers have created a very special environment here in a fairly undiscovered/unfashionable part of the coast. It is very rare to have a genuinely beachfront hotel in the South of France and the flow out from the lobby, pool and restaurant straight onto the sand dunes and beach bar is really magic. Despite any other slight service wrinkles the hotel design and position make this place well worth a visit. The rooms were very large and comfortable, we had beautiful sea views and great terraces to enjoy them from. Very chic modern neutral style linen interiors, perfect for the beachy location. We were on the top floor near the restaurant and while there was some noise it was generally very quiet and relaxing. We were warned about the mosquitos but to be honest they were nothing compared to what we get in New Zealand and Australia! The restaurant food was great, a simple but sophisticated French bistro style menu (red berry dessert was sublime). Table service was also very good but the front of house hosts were patchy and a bit disorganised (couldn't ever find our reservation etc). Despite staying for a week some nights they tried to put us on the worst table inside by the kitchen even when the whole restaurant terrace was empty, while telling us they were fully booked which didn't go down very well. Their understandable excuse was that it was high season and they had a lot of bookings from outside the hotel and while I appreciate that, I think they probably need to focus on accommodating hotel guests first and foremost. To be fair I think they suffered from some difficulties with inexperienced seasonal staff but overall the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Reading the reviews there are a lot of complaints about the prices but given the beachfront position I thought that the hotel was overall very good value for the South of France in peak season. This is a subjective issue but I think if you compare it to hotels of similar quality in the region it represents good value. Would definitely return.

The best part about this hotel- the view of the beach and the extremely pleasant and helpful staff that work at the pool area as well as the staff at breakfast. They cannot do enough for you and make you feel so welcome and make sure you have a great experience. I wish I could say the same about the staff at reception. They are the total opposite and are absolutely useless. We requested an early check in as we our flight was during the night and we hadn’t slept. On check in we were told that early check in wasn’t possible but that we could use the relaxation area at the spa if we were tired.. It’s important to mention that the menu is extremely restrictive and is the same for both lunch and dinner. Everything is extremely overpriced ( Shrimp €40 burger €22 and dessert(pavlova) €20!!!) You are scratching your head as to what to choose from on day 2 of your stay as there is very little to offer and you’re getting totally ripped off for what you get. With that we asked the girls at reception where would they recommend outside of the hotel for dinner and they said “ we wouldn’t recommended any restaurant near here” and that was that… On the day of check out we noticed our suncream had gone missing and when I asked the receptionist if ours was handed in, she showed me another one that wasn’t ours and when I asked could we borrow one from them for a few hours she said no - we had to buy a new one at the spa for €45. We didn’t want to do this as our flight was the same day and the bottle of suncream was 150ml meaning our liquids wouldn’t be accepted at the airport since you needed to have under 100ml. Our room was on the first floor right above reception and all you can hear is high heels and chairs being dragged when people stand up from their seat. Garden view is such a let down and is far from a nice view. So if you want to be absolutely ripped off and get poor treatment from rude receptionists then book here. Very disappointed.

Stayed 3 nights after an Easter weekend in Montpellier - loved the beautiful rooms which all have views of the beach, garden and ocean. All the furniture is impeccably chosen with high end amenities - heavenly scents, coffee machines, sun/shade terrasses… the food is of perfect quality like in all establishments owned by the Costes - sexy ambiance in the bar and restaurant area with balance between green vegetation and blue sea… the buffet breakfast is the most enjoyable way to start your day at the pool, beach or spa - my friends liked the hot jacuzzi while I loved swimming in the sea - immaculately groomed by the attentive service. I only ventured once in town but frankly the best is to stay in this hotel: thank you for a perfect stay! (It’s also only 10 minutes from the international airport)

J’ai séjourné récemment à l’Hôtel Plage Palace à Palavas-les-Flots et je suis déçu de mon expérience. Ma chambre donnait directement sur les travaux de montage des paillotes, ce qui aurait pu être évité en me plaçant côté piscine. De plus, étant située juste au-dessus des cuisines, j’ai été incommodé par les fortes odeurs de nourriture jusque tard le soir, puis dès le matin avec la préparation des petits déjeuners. Moi qui espérais un séjour reposant au bord de la mer, j’ai plutôt eu droit à une vue exceptionnelle sur les travaux et un air saturé d’odeurs de cuisine. L’accueil à l’arrivée comme au départ n’est clairement pas au niveau de ce qu’on attend d’un palace. En revanche, je tiens à souligner la qualité du service au restaurant, irréprochable, ainsi que le petit déjeuner et la propreté de la chambre, tous deux excellents.

Nous avons passé un magnifique séjour! Nous ne sommes restés que deux nuits mais serions bien restés plus, tant il est difficile de partir lorsque l’on est là-bas. C’est une vraie pépite! Nous avons séjourné dans la suite vue mer. C’est tout simplement fantastique! La suite est grande et très bien pensée. La terrasse est également grande avec une table et un canapé. C’est très agréable de se lever / et s’endormir avec le doux bruit des vagues. Le service est impeccable! Nous avons été très bien accueillis. Chaque membre du personnel, à la réception, restaurant, bar, spa, est charmant et très professionnel. La piscine de 27 mètres est juste fantastique! Elle est chauffée donc nous avons même pu en profiter, quant au jacuzzi chauffé à 37 degrés, c’est un pur bonheur! J’ai pu profiter du spa privatisé et mon conjoint d’un massage. Nous avons tous les deux adoré. Enfin, le restaurant est vraiment top! La déco, l’ambiance et le service sont vraiment chouettes. Et les plats sont variés et délicieux ! Petit plus, la cheminée quand il fait un peu froid. Bref, nous reviendrons dans hésiter une seconde!

Nous sommes allés boire un verre et manger en famille et avons passé un bon moment dans un cadre magnifique. Ce qui manque toutefois pour mettre 5 étoiles, 2 plats qui n’ont vraiment pas été à la hauteur de nos attentes et un service parfois aléatoire. Les raviolis vapeur et les calamars, en plus d’être sans réelle saveur, sont arrivés tièdes. C’est vraiment dommage, le reste des plats était vraiment bien (même si à mon goût, trop de coriandre dans le thon cru en entrée).

Étant habitués aux hôtels cinq étoiles et palaces de référence (Intercontinental, Relais & Châteaux, McGallery, ainsi que plusieurs établissements de la Côte d’Azur), nous avons décidé d’essayer l’Hôtel Plage Palace à Montpellier. Le cadre, l’architecture et les prestations proposées sont tout à fait à la hauteur des standards attendus, rien à redire sur ce point. En revanche, le service client est très en deçà de ce que l’on peut attendre d’un établissement cinq étoiles. Pour être tout à fait franc, c’est l’une de nos moins bonnes expériences en matière d’accueil et de considération de la clientèle. Nous avons eu le sentiment que le traitement variait fortement en fonction du statut ou du profil du client. Malgré plusieurs milliers d’euros dépensés dans l’hôtel, au spa et à la restauration, nous n’avons pas bénéficié de la même attention ni des mêmes égards que d’autres clients. Et pour couronner le tout, aucun geste n’a été fait de la part des équipes, ce qui confirme malheureusement ce ressenti d’injustice et d’inégalité dans le service. C’est regrettable, car l’endroit a un potentiel exceptionnel, mais cette impression de service inégal et discriminant ternit l’expérience globale.
