My recent stay at Cassaro 261 B&B left much to be desired. We had planned to stay 6 nights in total, but sought alternative accommodation after one night. While the concept of a bed and breakfast is usually associated with cozy and inviting accommodations, my experience felt more like staying in a converted apartment. Firstly, the layout of the B&B is unconventional, with all rooms leading directly onto the breakfast area. This setup resulted in significant noise levels, especially during mornings when guests gathered for breakfast. The lack of soundproofing made it difficult to rest peacefully. Moreover, the overall ambiance was dampened by the run-down and dark entrance to the building. The lack of adequate lighting and the condition of the entrance did not inspire confidence in the safety and security of the premises. A major concern was the absence of emergency exit lights or any visible evacuation plan. In the event of an emergency, guests would likely face challenges navigating their way to safety, which is unacceptable for any accommodation establishment. In summary, while Cassaro 261 B&B may offer affordable lodging, the converted apartment-like atmosphere, noise issues, and safety shortcomings detracted significantly from the overall experience. Improvement in these areas is essential to ensure the comfort and well-being of guests.

Cassaro 261 was such a nice place to spend our few days in Palermo. The location is great, the rooms are clean, and the breakfast was good with several different options to choose from each morning. The B&B is located in an apartment building so it can be a little confusing to find, but once you do, it is peaceful and lovely. Francesca and Alessandro were extremely helpful when we were dealing with lost luggage from the airport, and so friendly. Wonderful place!

I loved this B&B. Although that was not my first impression. We arrived in the evening and the building looked like a big, square Soviet-style apartment building from decades past. That all changed when we got to our room: modern, bright, cheerful, and immaculate. There is a common room that has a refrigerator and coffee maker. The staff is very accommodating. It's just two minutes from the Quatro Canti, so you will be near some great restaurants, shopping, and close to a city information office. Just note, that like all B&Bs you will need to text or call to arrange for a check-in time. No 24/7 front desk. Will definitely return on my next trip to Palermo.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Cassaro 261 B&B for three nights in July and had booked a double superior room with prepayment at around 100 Euro per night. The check-in was fast and smooth (however be aware that check-in is only possible either before 1 pm or after 3.30 pm) and we had received a nicely renovated room on the third floor with a balcony and a perfectly working air conditioning. The big downside however was, that our room was directly next to the breakfast area (see the attached picture) and was merely separated to it by a thin wooden door. Our bed was literally one meter away from this door. As breakfast is taking place everyday from 8 am to 10 am, one could hear every word spoken in the breakfast room - and of course also vice versa. We were lucky that there were only breakfast guests during one morning of our stay. We had requested to change our room, but were told not any other room would be available (despite *********** showing room availability). Also note that despite the information on all booking platforms mentioning buffet breakfast, one apparently has to order the respective breakfast individually on the prior day. Overall, I find it quite cheeky to sell such a room with this limited privacy at this price - especially as a superior room.

4 notti in questo delizioso B&B situato in una posizione strategica, in pieno centro storico, e delle zone pedonali in cui passeggiare, fare shopping,mangiare e godere della piacevole movida notturna di questa splendida città. Struttura in un elegante palazzo, con camera confortevole spaziosa luminosa, bagno con doccia e bidet. Letto matrimoniale comodo e ampio spazio per sistemare i bagagli. Colazione dolce e salata varia ed abbondante, con prodotti tipici del posto. Ed infine non meno importante, personale delizioso, gentile disponibile ed attento alle nostre esigenze.Un ringraziamento particolare a Rossana per la sua disponibiltà e professionalità.

ACHTUNG Abzocke. Habe das parken über die Unterkunft gebucht. Das Parkhaus ist einer Fußgängerzone. Hierzu wurde gesagt, dass es der Polizei gemeldet wird. Das ist nicht geschehen, dadurch habe ich für jeden Tag einen Strafzettel bekommen - Becareful. I booked parking there. They said it is allright to drive into the parking spot. Now I got a ticket for every single day. This is ridicioulus!!!!
