This hotel is a hidden gem in busy, noisy Palermo. It is a beautifully restored historic building, tastefully appointed. We had a spacious suite that was very comfortable with a delicious breakfast cooked to order. The staff are lovely and helpful. There are only a few rooms. I couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

The location is great. You are within easy walking distance to great food and activities. The staff is very friendly and helpful.The rooms were very clean and nicely decorated. The bed was also very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

A total GEM! The hotel is very beautiful and comfortable. Feels like the staffs and the owner love the property . Very clean and fantastc aroma all over the hotel. Very comfortable beds. Very generous in offering water and coffee and nice breakfast. There is a seating area with a bottle of burbon always available to the hotel's guests at no charge. Location is fantastic! Close to everything! Quite and serene!

Oh what a truly wonderful place. Mesmerising decor with beautifully thought out touches. You feel like you have lived through its history. The front door opens into a little piece of heaven. Beautifully cool, a welcome break from the summer heat..comfortable bed. Fabulous service and breakfast. Highly, highly recommend.

we made a reservation for one night through *******. We arrived in the mid afternoon to check in. First, it was impossible to find the hotel. There was NO signage and it was located on a very small street. We finally arrived to the hotel and the manager tells us that ******* cancelled our reservation. She showed me some message and when I looked at in more carefully later in the day, it said overbooked. Anyway, at the time of talking to the manager, I showed her on my phone that I had the ******* app and the reservation was not cancelled. The manager showed me something that said it was cancelled. The only thing that they did well was to find us another hotel that wasn't as nice as their hotel and a few blocks away. When I got to the new hotel, I contacted ******* who confirmed that the reservation was not cancelled. They overbooked their hotel and bumped us. ******* service was excellent and refunded our money. I would be careful before reserving a room at this hotel.

Traveled the world. Rarely come across such a tasteful and perfectly appointed accomodations. Staff is attentive and quest focused. Location is ideally situated near key tourist interests. Highly recommend if you prefer quiet classic accommodations.

The experience in this uniquely wonderful “Dimora”was unforgettable: class,courtesy,highly professional people made our stay flawless. Highly recommend the experience in staying here. The atmosphere of the pre existing building from the 16th hundred completed the journey and added a perfect note to the entire stay in Sicily.

Recently I have gone back to Palermo, to enjoy this great city in its winter looks. I have stayed again at the Palazzo del Poeta, which is my favourite hotel in Palermo. In the winter season, Palermo offers a multitude of cultural entertainment, most of it in its centre, and the Palazzo del Poeta is located bang in the middle of the must-see area. The rooms and service are of the highest standard, as you would expect from a hotel of that level, but the astonishing thing is that the Palazzo itself is one of the top cultural venues in Palermo. Its 'tea with an author' series of talks allow the visitor to mingle with some of italian top authors and cultural trend-setters, in a very informal and cosy atmosphere. I cannot think of another place where all these elements are blended together so well. Finally, the building itself is a hallmark of Sicilian architecture, and it has been renovated to the highest modern standard while respecting its historical appearance.

We first had a bit of a hard time finding this place. We went around the block a couple of times. Do not look for signs with the hotel name, there aren't any. Look for the address and ring the doorbell. It's location is very convenient to visit the various attractions and plenty of restaurants nearby. The decoration in the public areas and in the rooms is very elaborate. There is no reception so you need to look around for a staff member if you need something. You can access to water and some snack at all times. Breakfast was so-so. We had a major issue with the shower. The door would not close completely (open by about one inch). Even when I held the door closed during the whole duration of my wife's shower, water was coming out around the hinges. I had issues on this trip with water puddles in front of the shower but this was more than just a water puddle, it was more like a bucket of water was dropped on the floor. Based on other reviews, this seems to be a know issue. After we complained about the shower, we were moved to another room which was much better.
