We booked this room directly on their booking side. A couple of minutes later, we realized, that there is an additional discount on a hotel booking site with a larger room and a cheaper price (owners price + sales discount paid by the hotel booking site). So we booked there, and canceled the first booking immediately by email (as this was the only option). There was no response, so we wrote the cancelation email twice. After a while, half of the price were credited on our credit card. We immediately complained by email - and SMS. By SMS the owner responded (for the first time), that the cancelation is to late. I need to cancel the other (cheaper) booking. After long discussions, he told, that he will pay the difference, when I cancel the other one. Finally I did. Onsite, he just wanted to pay parts of the difference (not the sales discount which we would have received), not the full amount. Also he was getting impolite in the discussion (still all in SMS, not responding to any email). He was not confessing his error (in not reading emails and accepting the cancelation on time). So, we had a smaller room and a higher price. :-( Btw: there was no buffet (as shown on the pictures), but coupons for a cafe close-by To summarize: we had a bad experience with the owner, even if the apartment was ok. Therefore, personally, I can not recommend the apartment.
