La Cite Hotel

The hotel is very outdated, with a dark bar that lacks air conditioning. Our room was decent, but the balcony was so small that only one person could sit comfortably at a time. Breakfast was basic and most morning i had to request replenishment of the bread , for toast, as by 9.30am it was all gone. Despite our late flight on the last day, we were informed we couldn’t extend our checkout past 11 am because they had an early check-in scheduled for our room. However, we noticed throughout the day that the key stayed on the hook behind reception, and there was no sign of anyone else using the room. We were offered access to poolside showers to freshen up before our flight, but unfortunately, they only had cold water. Overall, I wouldn’t choose to stay here again.

This hotel is a little hidden gem, it is small and the rooms too, it has a lovely pool and gardens, and does continental breakfast and afternoon snacks to early evening, hot snacks which are good. Run by a family of really nice people who bend over backwards to be nice and give you a great warm welcome and they look after you well at all times. Great location at the back streets of Lixouri and very close to the ferry and town. I would recommended it for singles and couples aged 40 plus. This is one of the nicest hotels I have stopped in for being made very welcome, better than the big posh 4 start ones for sure, if you don't mind the humbleness of the building it might be a bit dated but do not let that taint you views, but it makes up for it big time in customer experience. Thank you to all the staff their, so lovely, made my holiday excellent.

Just returned from a fantastic week in La Citie. Simple Greece at its best. The most stress free holiday we have had. Fantastic staff. Friendly guests and Lixouri has some of the best restaurants I have experienced, please note if you want a full English breakfast book Benidorm.

just had a great week at this little gem,the staff are excellent and very helpful,its a very clean hotel,the pool an garden are very nice with more sunbeds than guests,so never a problem,i preferred the lawn with plenty of trees for shade,there is a bar they also do snacks in the day,now there has been one or two bad revues about the breakfast, well i can tell you there is nothing wrong with the quality and choice of stuff put out in the morning, there is to much to list.

The hotel is situated in a quiet part of town but close to the centre and the sea. All the staff were friendly and helpful. It was helpful that snacks could be obtained until 19.00 hours at the pool bar.

We stayed here for a week in July. The hotel grounds and pool area are first class. The staff are attentive and friendly, the hotel in general is tired but clean. Our luck wasn't in when they allocated us room 33 (AVOID) it's tiny the toilet is situated between the wall and shower screen, and boy it's cozy! I'm only 12st but I needed to apply Vaseline to both shoulders to squeeze in! There is no extra charge for A/C and safe deposit which is very fair. The breakfasts are dreadful, We've travelled the Greek islands extensively and I've not had worse. The whole experience for us was spoilt by the seemingly penny pinching selection & quality of the offering. The coffee is putrid, and the Orange juice is not much better. The so-called ham has never seen a pig. The Watermelon apart, everything is grey and unattractive. It's a real shame because this hotel could be so much more.
