Brickell Bay Beach Resort Aruba, Trademark by Wyndham

I booked this hotel last minute. It's a short walk to the beautiful beach. Pros: The Staff! Paola and Ish were amazing and changed my life forever. Ramphes is a human encyclopedia, he takes extreme pride in all he does. Great humans! Housekeeping was very good but did not empty the humidifier. All staff was great. Pool: swim up to the bar pool. Who doesn't love that? INDOOR FOOD: excellent tapas but not enough options. CONS: VIEW: I was on the first floor, if I opened my curtains everyone in the parking lot would see me. My curtain was sadly closed for a week. SMELL: musty, and damp. My swim suits wouldn't dry in the room. If you don't empty the very small humidifier several times a day and freeze your room, the smell will knock you over. SHOWER: Although the water pressure was great, there is no way to close the shower. It's bizarre. Water gets all over the bathroom. I wasted so many towels cleaning water. You need to be on top of it or it will add to the smell. I was in a remodelled room. It wasn't very modern, the sink looked unfinished as did the wall. The wall was patched but not sanded or painted. The refrigerator leaked the last couple of days as well. POOL & Beach FOOD: if you like fried greasy food you'll be happy. The smell of the oil was gross. ~~the pool was only filled on one side. It's very separate from the hotel. Unless you walk over to the pool, there is no place to just sit and enjoy your coffee. I sat in a dark smelly room every morning drinking my coffee. This place needs work. The only saving grace was the staff. If I hadn't booked it as a package with my airline I definitely would have changed hotels.~~

This is the 2nd review written for this property. Pros: Priscilla and Jonathan are Great employees. The location is great. Parking is Great Cons: I was without lights for 8 hours (from 11pm-7am) and could not sleep with my C-pack machine. Without this machine I could have had a stroke. The shower had a serious leak due to the floor design and the bed rolled around the room just by sitting on it. There are NO amenities in room such as an iron and ironing-board. The television did not work and the technician did not know why it was not working. The property seems to be undergoing new management. The Key to the back door never worked. I would like to give it another try, but I DON’T KNOW!

Great location in the middle of Aruba high rise. Normally we stay at an all-inclusive resort but we wanted something a bit more quiet. Team on floor really does their best to help, with them booking us a day at Palm Island as well as a rental car. Thanks again Brickell and good luck with the renovations! Ps. Loved all the murals
