The Palms at Palm Cove recensioner

My husband and I stayed at The Palms for a week. The mangers of the property were very friendly and Trent in particular was helpful and easy to communicate with . The pool area and gardens were well kept and had a peaceful tropical feel. The Palms was a short walk to the beach, cafes and restaurants. Unfortunately The Palms is located on a main road into Palm Cove and our apartment ( no. 8 ) with a small verandah faced the busy road and a busy bus stop. Our small verandah had a green outlook however the traffic noise from cars and buses starting early in the morning and continuing until late at night was persistent and annoying. Lighting was poor in the bathroom and bedroom and the apartment really needed a good clean.

Good location close to main strip. Our apartment at the front facing the busy street - Unit 6- was very noisy with traffic until quite late and again early in the morning. Unit was comfortable enough but very dim. Supplies were inadequate - coffee, dishwashing liquid. Could have provided more towels. No reception staff on site at regular times but notices to ring on mobile if any concerns. Self check in - we arrived after 7 to find the establishment very dark in places and stairs to first floor difficult to manage with heavy suitcases. Pool quite small but attractive surroundings. Peak season yes, but not good value - we have already booked at another establishment for next year which offers much more and rates only slightly higher.

Comfortable, clean accommodation in lush garden setting. Nice pool and BBQ area for self catering. Short walk (2-5 minutes) to Palm Cove Tavern, local small supermarket, coffee & juice bar. Five minute walk to Esplanade and beach with a broad choice of restaurants. Sheltered from the cool southerly and sea breezes. Opposite a bus stop for regular public transport to Cairns (approx 1 hour trip, but only 50 cents!) One bathroom a slight challenge with a family, but survivable. Only challenge we found was lack of response from property after reservation was made, until check in email received 3 days prior to arrival.

Very small apartment for 4 with the usual basic facilities. Lovely gardens and a nice pool which didn’t feel warm despite being heated. Used the washer dryer which didn’t dry clothes. We were in room 6 above reception and close to the road which was a bit noisy. Short walk to Tavern, supermarket and the beach. All 5 attempts to contact management prior to arrival via call, text and email where ignored.

The grounds are beautiful and our apartment was spotless with a well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. We liked the location and check in was very easy. It is especially family friendly and offers parking for one car. There is a small grocery store a block away where you are able to purchase basic supplies. They also serve delicious ice cream.

Lovely little spot walking distance to everything. The comfortable two bedroom apartment was fantastic for us with our two teenagers, and it opened into the pool, which was a hit with the kids. Great little BBQ area and leafy Balinese-inspired gardens. Friendly hosts. Would definitely stay again.

I have just returned from a weeks holiday with 17 members of my family to celebrate a milestone birthday. I booked the whole resort which consists of 9 beautiful appointed apartments. I couldn’t be more happier with the choice I made. Everything was perfect . It has a beautiful pool and is set in tropical gardens with Buddha statues everywhere giving it a Balinese effect but without the crowds, Each apartment is beautifully decorated with Hand painted murals on the walls. It has a yoga studio which suited us as we have a yoga teacher in the family. Also A Bbq area which we used . I could go on and on but just take my advice if you want perfect accommodation in Palm Cove you can’t do better.

Thank you for a lovely stay. A tropical oasis with a calming and quiet vibe in a great location. Room was nicely decorated and comfortable with all modern amenities. The host, Anna was delightful and was very responsive to my needs as a solo traveller.

We found this to be a wonderful oasis in a lush tropical garden setting. Lounges surround the small but welcoming pool. There is a barbecue area as well as an area for yoga. It's a short stroll to restaurants, a new supermarket, and glorious palm-rimmed beaches. We enjoyed several nights here and would be pleased to return.

Stayed here for 2 nights with my husband as part of our honeymoon. We were treated to a card and a bottle of fizz on arrival which was a lovely touch and were able to check in early which was great! Apartment was spotlessly clean and very well equipped (washer/dryer came in handy as we were away for almost 3 weeks). The bed was very comfy and huge! Only downside was the limited number of sunloungers but due to beautiful setting of being surrounded by palms/trees this is to be expected and wasn’t a problem as we headed to the beach! Overall a fabulous stay!!

I have just returned from a 3-night stay here. The space is beautiful, in Balinese style with apartments centred around a swimming pool and outdoor kitchen, with lots of tropical plants. It feels very relaxing. My apartment was clean, spacious and had everything I needed. It is a 5-minute walk into the centre of Palm Cove. Looking forward to returning next year!

A really lovely and calm place to stay. We stayed for a week and could have stayed longer - the beds are comfy, the facilities are excellent and the hosts are really responsive to any questions. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again if was able to return to palm cove!

Impressed; so much so that we have already booked for next year. Having stayed at numerous other Palm Cove locations at different price points over the past 20 years our stay at The Palms at Palm Cove exceeded all expectations. Location perfect, Apartments with everything you would need for an extended or short stay, clean and relaxing + fantastic hosts.

The Palms at Palm Cove was a great find! A quiet location just off the main area of Palm Cove in a beautiful setting with an almost rainforest feel surrounding the pool. Comfortable beds, pillows and a great shower, only disappointment was we had to leave to go home. Comfortable walking distance to everything. We will certainly be back!
