Idili

Guesthouse is in old, traditional building. Location is central in Palermo village, close by the sea, restaurants, shops and bars. I expected higher quality and more privacy, as website gives totally different feeling of the place, as there Idili seems prettier, more peaceful and cozier. Owner is very helpful and welcoming, very nice really. But they don’t take very good care of the premises: decoration is not very pretty, there is no daily cleaning and there are dead leaves and even plastic flowers in the garden. They give you clean towels if you ask and also clean a bit, but its not automatic. Also, next to guest house there is a hotel with swimming pool with lots of noise, it was a total surprise. My apartment was downstairs and interior has the same quality than the others. Bathroom is better in the other two, they look brighter and more fresh. Downstairs apartment has less privacy than the others, as it’s on the ground level next to people passing by. At night you can close the wooden doors and it’s dark and quiet. There is another bedroom on the back of the downstairs apartment, it is very basic and depressing -I just closed the door and I was happy I did not need the space. I think the best apartment is upstairs: the view is better and you can see the sea, bathroom looks more fresh and it is more private. Unfortunately my expectations did not meet the price and quality. I think they should give more time and money to the premises (also interior and cleaning) and then this guest house could have the quality to meet the price and website image.

Our family of three had an enchanting stay at Idili traditional house in Panormos, where our host, Markos, made our experience truly memorable. Markos welcomed us warmly and shared the house's rich history, showcasing its loving restoration. The accommodations were cozy and tastefully decorated, blending modern amenities with Greek aesthetics seamlessly. The highlight was the beautiful courtyard, a serene spot to relax after exploring Panormos. Markos proved to be an excellent guide, offering insider recommendations that led us to hidden gems and unforgettable local experiences. Panormos itself exuded a peaceful ambiance, with charming streets and delightful tavernas. Our stay at Idili traditional house with Markos left us with cherished memories and a desire to return. If you seek an authentic Greek getaway with a touch of history and a warm host, this is the place to be!

We were welcomed in a very friendly and helpful manner by the owner and enjoyed the delicious breakfast the first morning of arrival. The spacious apartment had all the necessities and a beautiful terrace full of perfumed plants where we could relax before heading to our visits in the area. The guesthouse is situated in a very pretty little fishing village close to restaurants and shops but yet quiet and peaceful. The kindness and discretion of the lady working with Markos has been mostly appreciated too. Thanks to both of you for having made our holidays at the top.

The hotel is in an excellent location in the beautiful village of Panormos, between Rethymnon and Heraklion, in an old stone house, renovated and maintained, which has everything you need. The owner, Marcus, is super nice and takes care of every need that came up. Breakfast was divine. Looking forward to coming back again.

Marcos is an extremely kind host and represents Greek hospitality perfectly! He even prepared an early breakfast, as we had to catch the ferry. The rooms are very quiet and tidy. We had a pleasant stay and will surely come back!

We stayed at Idili guesthouse for a whole week, and we loved it. Our apartment had everything we needed, and the terrace allowed for relaxation. Markos was really helpful throughout our stay. Panormo served us very well as a base to explore the amazing Cretan countryside. Hope to come back one day!
