Fodele Beach Water Park Resort

We recently got back from a weeks stay at Fodele Beach Resort. A beautifully designed hotel, scenic views of the beach, a great sized restaurant and variety of food! We upgraded to a beach view and it was a lovely room! The kids club team made the holiday super enjoyable for our girls, especially Ila, Juli and Andrea! Evening mini disco was fun and interactive and the animation team were superb! The restaurant staff were very attentive and tried their best to lay tables, at times seemed overwhelmed but still appreciative of all the staff and their efforts. Pro’s - Good food (would have loved more traditional Greek food and pudding, especially Baklava which was only served once, scrambled eggs were amazing) great location with what seemed like a private beach for the hotel guests, the water part was fun but more for kids above 6, rooms were cleaned daily and the kids loved the train to the hotel room! Kids club team were amazing, evening entertainment was not only fun for the kids but the adults too! The spa team were great and calm, made you feel welcome and relaxed during the treatment. Cons - The one thing that stood out from the other all inclusive holidays we’ve experienced was the pool which was freezing, they definitely need to make this heated. The kids pool was unfortunately in the shade and abit warmer but meant the family got separated in the day. The hotel almost seemed like there was still a bit of construction going on and at times or unfinished. The hotel lobby getting glass fitted, trucks and furniture getting delivered. During my spa, I could hear loud banging and noises. The beach bar was advertised online like a restaurant but it was catered for a conference set up and half the restaurant were conference people and holiday goers so abit awkward at times. We did have an experience where some arrivals were checking in and we asked the buggy driver to take us to our room and he asked us to wait until the other guests checked in (shame as it was after 9pm, our girls were tired, plus 2 buggies were at reception and one could have quickly whisked us up which would have taken less then 5 mins) so we ended up walking up 50 steps up the hill to the room. Overall a lovely holiday with great memories! Thank you for having us!

The sea is marvellous: cold in May, but absolutely fantastic colours and purity plus transparency are amazing. Delicious various meals, amiable staff, comfortable rooms with sea and mountains view. Nature is awesome. Highly recommended

This was the fifth time we have been here (for the chess tournament), and it's still lovely. As I said last year, the updating of the pool area and plaza is really nice, in particular the addition of more under-cover seating so you can eat lunch in the shade. The food in general was as good as always, particularly the oriental evening. The staff are what really make this place, so special mentions to Popi, Pinelopi, Diana, Happy, Sofia and George, and of course to fitness coach (and Pink Wave member) Gina who always found time to chat. If I had to suggest one thing it would be that the fitness area be updated. It's been moved slightly from previous years, but the wooden boards are very old and tired, as are the exercise mats (and so am I, to be fair). It also needs more and better shade and a non-sandy route to get to it... ...but that's a small criticism - overall a fabulous holiday once again! Outside of the resort, I recommend a walk up to the village of Fodele (or a taxi ride), or from the main road you can catch a bus to Heraklion in one direction and Rethymno and Chania the other way.

I have just returned from a week's all inclusive holiday with my husband, 4 year old and 2 friends and what an amazing holiday we had. I don't think I have one complaint about the whole experience. The minute we arrived the reception staff were all incredibly friendly and the gentleman that took us to our room on the buggy was also very informative. Food was fantastic and such a great choice everyday for every meal. Every member of staff we experienced was always so friendly and welcoming. The lady who works in the pool bar the majority of the time gets a special shout out because she was amazing. The Pink Wave team were always so friendly and wanting to get everyone involved, special shout out to Mia where we got our free massage during the Water Gym. Each person on the pink wave team made my little one so happy and welcome he was so upset to come home. Nothing was ever to much for any person we spoke to. We will return to Fodele Beach, it now holds a very special place in our heart. Thank you every single person who made our holiday so special!

The whole resort and accomodation is so beautiful! The staff are so lovely and friendly! The food is delicious and the facilities, and entertainment have been next level and have elevated our holiday to the next level!! Highly recommend a visit to the Aegeo Spa in the resort - ask for Rafael if you’re wanting the most amazing Cretan Massage and Aloe Glow treatment of your life!! ❤️❤️❤️. My two daughters also enjoyed a wonderful Calm Sea and Flow & Glow massage from Christos and Iraklis! My daughters tell me they feel like liquid gold after their treatments! Can’t than the team at Fodele Beach Resort enough for making this, a holiday of a lifetime, and creating core memories that will always be with us

Hotel very clean and well-kept. Service very nice. Pool clean and water in the pool perfect for cooling off. Rooms clean and cleaned every day, the only minus - doors between rooms, through which you can hear everything. Food very tasty. Hotel adapted to families with children. If you want to come here and relax in silence, unfortunately you will not experience it here.
