I had an excellent stay in Holland Lodge Paramaribo. To be honest, the pictures on their website make the rooms look a bit more luxurious than they are in reality. BUT, that didn't affect my experience and stay at all. The hotel is situated on a nice quiet location, a 10 minutes walk to more action and the presidential palace and the famous Palmentuin. The hotel staff is super friendly, flexible and very helpful. I really felt at home. Rooms are cleaned every day and have all the (basic) facilities one needs. The lounge is situated around a small pool and has a cosy atmosphere and you can have drinks, snacks and some small dishes. This will be my go to place in Paramaribo! Highly recommended!

10/10 recommendation, the entire staff is incredibly friendly and really wants you to have the best time, the hotel is very pretty, has a great pool aswell as good food and refreshing drinks, you can get great advice what to do and where to go in and out of the city and are close to restaurants and grocery stores

This was our first time in Suriname and we were blown away by our stay at Holland Lodge. 1) The staff was exceptional! Before our arrival, they helped us with an airport transfer (the airport is FAR from the city, spring for the transport!). During our stay they helped us do laundry for a reasonable price, helped us order food when we arrived late, and also helped us book a dolphin cruise last minute. Even more so they went above and beyond. I got a pretty nasty infection the day before we left for the interior and Sherona helped me find a doctor, called her on my behalf, and helped me set up the my appointment- truly incredible service! Then we ordered food a second time and were told by Pizza Hut they would take my visa credit card upon delivery. This was untrue but Lucy at the front desk immediately stepped in, paid him in cash on our behalf and put it on our room bill- absolutely amazing service! 2) This place was CLEAN- like clean clean. The sheets were spotless, the room was white glove clean which we really appreciated. 3) Breakfast- Breakfast was 12USD to add on which seemed steep but it was so nice not to worry about it in the morning and the food was fantastic. We truly appreciated our stay and the staff is truly who blew this place out of the water! Incredible. We hope to visit again!

This hotel has really surpassed its ambition in providing a pleasant and tranquil space from the heat and semi-squalor of Paramaribo. With its abundance of tropical plants, well cared for by Roberto, the koi carp fountain and aviary as well as the perfectly situated pool, the ambience created could not be better. The rooms were spacious and clean and Adjai ordered me an airport taxi for 3.00 am that arrived punctually and without any hassle. Probably the only time that occurred in our 5 days of travelling around Surinam. A special thanks to all the staff and providing the best coffee in Paramribo

This hotel was our relaxed base during our Suriname trip. Pro - Very good service that’s definitely not standard in Suriname. They gave us one night an upgrade after having an issue with the shower door. - Try to book their biggest room (102/103) they are located at the ground floor and have the best bathroom - All rooms have good airconditioners which you can control - Nice breakfast and provide a good gluten free option - 15 mins walk to city center Con - Standard vs Comfort room, we would recommend standard room as they are slightly bigger and cost a bit less. We stayed in all room types, during our Suriname trip we came 3 times back

Een gemoedelijk hotel met ontzettend vriendelijke medewerkers. Fijn zwembad met een paar ligbedden. De lounge is heel gezellig ingericht met banken, lampjes en planten. Holland Lodge was onze uitvalbasis en we zijn er meerdere keren geweest. Ook wanneer de kamers nog niet schoon waren (in de ochtend) konden we al was afgeven en gebruik maken van het zwembad. Op de laatste dag was ons toilet verstopt en konden we gebruik maken van het appartement op de bovenste verdieping. Leuke bedrijfsleider/eigenaar die veel weet te vertellen over de stad.

Une équipe disponible, chaleureuse et efficace. Pendant le séjour, toutes nos demandes ont trouvés une réponse. Le cadre est charmant et intimiste, à 10 minutes à pied de la rue centrale. Dédicace à lucy pour son apprentissage du français et ses conseils avisés.
