Alfa Hotel

Leaving tomorrow after another wonderful holiday in the Alfa. I have never stayed in a hotel that is so well managed and this is due to Dimitri and his team. You will not fail to enjoy your holiday if you stay here. I’m not going to single any particular aspect of this hotel out for praise as it is 10/10 for everything. I love you Hotel Alfa

We had stayed at the Alfa once before and had a good time so we decided to return. Whilst we were there, the pool constantly overflowed the drainage gulley into the sunbed area.There was an elderly man who was attending to it but it kept happening. We checked with the bar staff as we thought an overflowing pool suggested that filters were blocked but we were told the pool was fine. We went into the pool the day before going home. My husband swam under water and said it was cloudy so we got out. Within 2 days of returning home, my husband developed a nasty ear infection. He ended up in hospital on iv antibiotics for 8 days and then returned home with a further 6 week course of antibiotics. We were told by the consultant that the bacteria causing the infection was prevalent in swimming pools that are not properly maintained. The Alfa pool was the only one we had been in. We took our concerns to Tui who passed this onto their insurers. Surprise, surprise, all liability has been rejected because the hotel apparently keeps meticulous records and their pool is pristine. Nevertheless, 1. The pool was constantly overflowing. 2. The elderly gent was constantly attending the pool filtration plant. 3. The water was cloudy when we finally did swim in it. 4. My husband was seriously ill as a result. Be sure to avoid swimming pools containing cloudy water.

We have been here before and the hotel is one that many return to . The pool & bar can be used by anyone but there is never a shortage of sunbeds . The cocktails are good not like some in Parga which are flavoured syrups - be careful .The rooms are of a high standard and that is probably why so many return . A short walk into the front at Parga and you are there . We hired a car this time at "Enterprise" - next to Petros restaurant - worked out at £127 + £44 in petrol for three days - new Fiat 500 - paid the extra €10 a day in case of a bump - which would mean the maximum they would charge is €150 instead of €1000 - a better deal . Plenty to do in Parga - I would say it is mainly the 40+ gang who are on holiday here so it hasn't turned into a Kavos or Falaraki type place yet . A lot of people look at hotels and they are not in Parga but in Valtos or Lichnos beach - so if you are looking to book make sure that you are not mislead by the description and they are saying it is in Parga when it maybe nearby . That is why this hotel is the one to go for as it is in Parga and a nice stroll into the centre .The restaurants are pretty much all good value - not a lot in it really . The "Five Senses" restaurant at this hotel is something else if you want a really good meal - you won't be disappointed . Well I think I have told you everything - just book it if you can get in !

Excellent friendly hotel, family run. The pool is clean with plenty of parasols for shade and sunbeds so no need for very early trip to reserve a bed. It is complete with a bar which sell snacks. The rooms are bright, clean, modern and stylish they have a good sized shower and are complete with a USB charging connection. The only thing missing is a full length mirror.

Very nice and clean hotel with friendly service and staff. Highly recommended when travelling in Greece. Nice and quiet location in town near center an beach. Fine breakfast. Fine restaurant. Nice other places to eat also nearby. Everything can be arranged.

My husband and I stayed at an apartments over the road from the Alfa and we were told we could use the Alfa for breakfast and for the pool / lunch etc. We had never been to the Alfa before but thought we'd try it. We were not disappointed!! We were blown away by the breakfast. They have a buffet style where you help yourself to anything, juices, hot drinks, fruits, yoghurts, ham, cheeses, pastries, bread and cooked (Eggs, bacon etc). It was so good we then had it every morning for the remainder of our holiday. We also had a couple of lunches at the Alfa and also a few days lying by the pool. They do THE BEST mojitos!! We want to give a special mention to Diana who works there. She was there every day with a bright smile on her face and so friendly and chatty. She talked to us about the best places to visit in a hire car etc. Diana deserves a bonus! Thank you Alfa, we hope to return to Parga soon and we will be staying with you!
