Hotel Locomo - Gare de Lyon Bastille

Very close to Gare de Lyon railway station. Hotel room is clean and modern. Breakfast is adequate. Free coffee and tea at ground floor. Value for money stay.

I booked a small room just for one night, but I had a enough space to open my big suitcase and backpack :) The room was cute and clean, I was really relaxed there. Staffs and service were also great, there was free coffee/tea and cakes at reception ! The lift was in the middle of stairs on each floor, but a gentleman at reception helped me to carry my heavy suitcase. The hotel is situated just 5 minutes away from Gare de Lyon, so convenient ! Highly recommend !

Pascal and crew were so lovely! I really appreciate all of their help. There were a few things in relationship to design that could have been better. Granted they probably won’t do anything about it because it’s the infrastructure of the spaces. Having said that if they ever decided to build another one, these are things they should consider. The bathroom is very tight. The placement of fixtures create even less space for the human body. If the fixtures, the tissue box, the shower faucet, the shampoo and soap dispensers replaced in spaces that human body needed. It would seem bigger and feel bigger than it really is. Standing in the shower with the fixture at the same height as your bra is awkward. The toilet brush could’ve been on the opposite side of the toilet and that would create more space for the human body. The toilet paper roll holder could’ve been placed underneath the sink. All of these things would’ve been thoughtful and very well appreciated in such a small bathroom. As much as I’m sure the thought of putting the bed up against the window wall might seem inappropriate it would give more space to move around in and possibly even create more space for hanging some of the things in your suitcase and possibly even introducing a chair to sit on in the very small room. I didn’t have a problem with the fact that the room was small. I had a problem with the fact that things were placed symmetrically in a space that there was not enough room to move around in or unpack or feel flexible and how you moved around in the space. And the space is small, but that’s not the problem. It’s the placement of the things in the space that makes it harder than it has to be. It’s pretty and the bed is nice in the fixtures are fun it’s just it could’ve been thought about one step further and how does it feel to be in that space. Lastly, and I’m sure everybody is aware of it the elevator, even though I didn’t have to use. It is very awkward with the landings being in the middle of the staircase as opposed to the floors that you’re going to. It makes it quite dangerous as well to manoeuvre up and down the stairs when the elevator door is all of a sudden opening and people are coming off of it. I am certain there is no answer to fix that situation or I’m sure you the hotel would have done it. However, it should be something to consider. The staff is amazing. The location is great there’s so much potential. Would I stay there again absolutely.

Very well located just a couple minutes away with Gare de Lyon metro station. Staff was very nice and helpful. The room is small but functional and clean, and it was quiet.

The most disappointing aspect of this hotel is the lift. Guests must carry heavy luggage up the stairs to reach the lift door, and then climb another half flight of stairs to reach their room floor. In other words, the lift only operates between mid-levels of each floor. My wrist hurt a lot after carrying the luggage up and down the stairs. Additionally, the towels and bed covers are not very clean, and the toilet does not flush properly.

Nice and clean environment. Staff are nice and helpful. 5 stars for that. But the room is quite small, no space for big luggage.
